Today, September 1, is the 125th anniversary of the dedication of country of Japan for the preaching of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. This weekend, I was grateful to speak at a special nationwide broadcast from a meetinghouse in Yokohama, Japan near the site where the dedication occurred. The message I shared at the broadcast is the same message that has been preached to millions of people across the globe—that Jesus Christ loves you and what He did through His Atonement is for you, a beloved child of your Heavenly Father.

In the wake of a recent earthquake that hit southwest Colombia, Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met Monday, August 24, 2026, with Santiago de Cali Mayor Alejandro Eder to review ongoing emergency aid and discuss long-term recovery for affected families. Church members, mental health professionals and local volunteers have mobilized across Cali — a critical healthcare hub for the region — to deliver food kits, assist at collection centers, and provide emotional support to survivors. “Caring for those in need is at the very heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Elder @StevensonGaryE emphasized, noting the Church’s priority to help families move beyond initial relief toward sustainable self-reliance. I don't know why this hasn't received more publicity, but this fifty-foot sculpture was unveiled recently in South Dakota. It's called 'Dignity' and was done by artist Dale Lamphere to honor the women of the Sioux Nation. Thank you for liking my post! Proud to be Native American

Our service is a choice, an offering to God &a blessing.Callings from the Lord are tailor-made for our growth,as we humble ourselves, look outward & learn that,we are in fact in the service of our God. It really isn’t where we serve but how that matters to the Lord @PatrickKearon

As we leave the temple, we realize that the problems and challenges we left at the entrance are still there. We are required to take them up again. They haven’t changed, but thankfully, our time in the temple has changed us. @ChristoffDTodd
