Personally, this is the sort of thing that raises a huge red flag, just 40 days out from the election. Stuff, who until a few days ago were using the Opportunity Party’s colour for their Aotearoa Decides branding, have decided to bring back a version of the highly controversial worm for The Press Kingmakers’ debate, yet still haven’t said how it works. Just four days from the debate they have released no methodology, no weighting and no explanation of who gets to click or how they stop one person continuously hitting the button. They have only stated it’s “Stuff’s online audience”, which you could argue isn’t NZ at all, it’s just people already on Stuff who bother to participate. If they then turn around and promote “the worm loved X” as if it were the public verdict, they are effectively turning an unrepresentative gimmick into election coverage. In the interests of fairness and transparency, Stuff needs to release their worm methodology today.

It’s become ridiculous. Most people here know that I loosely support NZF. But I deliberately don’t go out of my way to post about them because of the flack I’ve received in the past. I just can’t be bothered. I’ll only block folk who I either don’t really know or who abuse me. Personal abuse is my line in the sand. But I refuse to lose X friends over differing views on politics when we’re aligned on many other issues. And I don’t really care who people vote for so long as it’s someone from the more sane right bloc. @NzFubar and @TheNzRocketeer regularly post anti-NZF stuff. I know their positions, sometimes I agree and other times not. And that’s ok. Recently I disappeared from X for a couple of weeks. The only person who noticed and checked in on me was @TheNzRocketeer . 😌 That means more to me than any differing political views we may hold. Same with @KajensAngel - I value her input, she makes me think harder 🤔 and I want that. What brings and brought us all together in the first place seems to be getting lost in amongst all the political tribalism. None of these politicians or political parties are worthy of worship or cult-like devotion. And they’re most certainly not worth losing friendships over, even if those friendships are just confined to this place. 🕊️

Just imagine the media firestorm if an ACT candidate posted an Instagram story of themselves mouthing “fuck you” and “you can all fuck off” with Chloe Swarbrick’s photo in the background, then captioned it “the song isn’t aimed at anyone, I just like it.” Media would treat it as a targeted attack and it would be leading the 6pm news and be front page of the NZ Herald within the hour. David Seymour would be put under immense pressure to issue a Party apology, and face an onslaught of questions regarding whether the candidate is fit to stand. But when a Green candidate does it on her Instagram story, it’s just a song she likes and nothing to see here. Let’s not forget, Waikato previously posted a social media video where she wrote: “I know it’s going to be hard not to punch David Seymour and Winston.” Media letting this slide, beggars belief.

This is outright ‘treating’ and preferential treatment. Utterly contemptible. And likely to be unlawful. This is not ‘tikanga’. This is selective bribery. I’m sick & have tired of the selective maorification BS permeating through NZ. Good for a few then do it for all! Come on NZ Electoral Commission - All NZers are equal before the law.

Hey @ANZ_NZ treating your customers like they are brain dead morons, having petty and pointless account blocks, rude call centre staff who treat you like you are a retard, all to DEMAND answers to YOUR questions that you randomly decided to intrusively ask, all for a transaction that broke no law, no AML rules or anything, then threaten to keep accounts locked until your customer complies with your petty tyrant behaviour is NOT a way to keep customers happy. I've seen off worse tyrants than you clowns. Here's some examples of your moronic questions, over a payment to a law firm. "What were you paying a law firm for?" What did you think I was paying a law firm for you utter dolt? That's right, legal advice. But you don't get to ask what that legal advice was, which you did, and got upset when I told your moron call centre staff member to get fucked. How about the next question? "How did you get the law firm's bank account?" From the fucking invoice apparently wasn't an acceptable answer either. Stick your annoying questions, silly automated rules and condescending staff all up your rather large non-customer focussed arse.

Tonight, I joined a call with the Coalition of the Willing to demonstrate New Zealand’s resolute support for Ukrainian independence. Ukraine must, and will, win this senseless war.

Listen to Wong, she’s telling you what her vision is. 20 effing 50 🤣 The 2050 vision is global, net zero, transformed energy, industry, cities and food systems, expanded digital/AI governance, and greater international coordination. It strongly overlaps with Green and progressive-left politics. Wong said it on national tv. She doesn’t like @nzfirst because NZ1 is the opposite side of the spectrum. @Suitandtie9999 thanks for the clip.

🚨 🚨 ☢️ Long rant alert. Friends have asked why I’m not commenting on the latest events in NZ politics. I’ve actively stayed away. I think everyone here is aware that politicians are full of promises, and delivering on them isn’t easy, especially under three-year terms and an MMP system. It’s a difficult system. Democracy backed by foreign influence is even more difficult. Democracy isn’t really democracy when the globalist left can constantly push its weight around. Democracy really runs only on gear one. In the last election, I backed National, ACT and NZ First. I tried, at whatever level I could, to help bring them together with voters. I never paid any of them a cent. It was entirely my own gesture to support the three parties that didn’t align themselves with the lunatic left. I’ve always been critical of Mr Luxon because of his record during his corporate career. Nothing personal. I simply find some parties more open to globalist ideology and others less so. But this isn’t the time to be a vulture picking at the bones. The election is too close. The time for criticism was when we were demanding change and there was still time to achieve it. No meaningful change is going to happen at this point. The only major change now would be a change of government. If you want the lunatic left, a bunch of deranged retards ,back on the job, then keep picking the coalition apart. If you want progress, vote for the coalition that actually exists. Don’t be dumb. Pick whoever you like within this coalition. Criticise them, disagree with them, hold them accountable but don’t hand the damn vote back to a bunch of communist wannabes. 🤷🏻‍♀️
