After nearly 5 months, 14 balls of wool, and quite a lot of swearing, I am delighted to say that my Persian Tiles - Eastern Jewels blanket is complete! #crochet 💕
Trainspotting. The book is phenomenal. The film is the worst kind of dumbing down to sell merch, promote a soundtrack I’ve ever seen.
Not getting into an argument about the NHS (and if you do, please unfollow me) but I had a check up on Friday for an ongoing condition, medication changed in appt, letter to GP sent within 24 hours, on the waiting list for (non urgent) surgery less than an hour after being seen.
Work colleague mentioned that she missed leg warmers as a thing so as I’ve had two long train journeys this weekend I thought I’d have a go at making some. Got to say, not disappointed.
GO MUFFIN!!!!

Just realised I forgot to post what I did last Wednesday! Channeling my inner Taskmaster to welcome our new PhD intake, with rubber ducks and prizes for everyone!

Can't believe the president who scheduled a public execution didn't win the Nobel Peace prize
There’s very few things that get me this activated but if you declaw your cat you’re an animal abuser and you should never be allowed to adopt an animal again and someone needs to take your pets off you.

It’s where I store my rage and disappointment.
SCIENTISTS JUST DISCOVERED NEW ORGAN IN THE FEMALE BODY
It was overlooked for years. Now, new research in mice suggests this little-known structure could be communicating with the ovary in ways scientists are only beginning to understand
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The claimed newly discovered organ is the rete ovarii, first described in 1870 and included in early anatomy texts like Gray's, though recent mouse studies detail its structure and possible functions using modern imaging.
