If it was just, "hard right vs moderates," then Martha McSally would be in her second term.
Instead, immigration turned the state purple. Left-wing NGO's then racked up voter registrations.
Combined with their field staff chasing votes in a state ripe with mail-in ballots, Arizona shifted left absent similar infrastructure on the right.

The sophistry of people who make a living pontificating about economics is unbelievable. This is like saying, "if you think inflation is bad, then move somewhere with massive deflation." Obviously, the ideal economic policy is usually a balance between two undesirable extremes.

In 1772, the colonists had no right to trees over 12" thick, not even if it was in their front yard.
A law reserved every white pine that size for the Royal Navy's masts. Surveyors roamed New Hampshire slashing a mark into the trees, claiming them for the King of England.
The mill owners of Weare ignored the law and cut the trees they wanted to. So the sheriff rode out to arrest them and collect the fines.
The Weare men blackened their faces and went after the sheriff in what is now called the Pine Tree Riot. They gave him a lash for every tree he'd charged them for. Then they cropped the ears and tails off his horses and sent him riding out of town through a jeering crowd.
Before the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre, a New Hampshire town defied the Crown.
And the pine tree symbol remained. When Washington needed a flag for his first warships in 1775, he put a New England pine on it, over the words "An Appeal to Heaven."
This turned something that the King used to tyrannize the colonists to support his Navy, into a symbol of a country defying him on their own Navy.

If raising interest rates actually increased inflation (Modern Monetary Theory), then Bill Ackman would support it to pump his bags.
There are literally zero fund managers who care about inflation — they only care insofar as the Fed reacts to it.
The presumption that the Fed raising short-term rates reduces inflation is predicated on the belief that higher rates reduce demand and investment.
But what if higher rates don’t reduce demand and investment because the demand for intelligence and energy is unaffected by higher rates because winning the race for super intelligence has a near infinite ROI and the demand for compute will remain incalculable.
Why won’t higher rates at this unique moment in history therefore lead to more inflation as interest costs are embedded in everything?
And the problem is compounded as the more the Fed raises rates, the more inflation we will have and the more the Fed will need to raise rates further and so on.
But what if the old models don’t apply to the current paradigm and the Fed is wrong?
I think the Fed might have just made a mistake. Am I right or am I wrong?
