Congratulations to the Big Bank Lobby & Sen. Elizabeth Warren on defeating the Clarity Act (for now).
Now:
1. Trump & his family can continue to do whatever they want in crypto; and
2. Crypto exchanges can continue paying unlimited yield on stablecoin deposits.
Well played.

Can ANYONE explain when the BANKING INDUSTRY has the ability to VETO Legislation?
I must have missed that part in my political science classes...
Given the damage they've done to the nation and the TRILLIONS in bailouts they've received, it is unconcsionable they have that power.
🏦REGULATION: BANKS REJECT WHITE HOUSE STABLECOIN REWARDS DEAL & STALL CLARITY ACT
Banks have rejected a compromise proposed by the White House on a major U.S. crypto market bill, per @Reuters.
Officials attempted to broker a middle ground between banks and crypto companies. The proposal allowed stablecoin rewards in limited cases, such as peer-to-peer transfers between users. However, the plan prohibited incentives on idle stablecoin balances.
Crypto companies accepted the plan, banks have rejected it, fearing large outflows.
Well said

🔥URGENT UPDATE: The "Market Structure" bill circulating in the Senate isn't regulatory clarity; it’s the ultimate rug pull. 🚨
By folding to @SenWarren unconstitutional BSA surveillance demands, @SenatorTimScott and @SenLummis are effectively handing the future of finance to the big bank cartel. 🏦
Treating software devs like financial institutions doesn't protect consumers; it kills DeFi to protect Wall Street incumbents. We see what you’re doing. Kill the bill. $BTC $ETH $XRP $SOL $AVAX $BNB

Only analysis worth it's salt. Volume!
XRP global volume is still super low.
🚨 VOLUME IS RED ACROSS THE BOARD EXCEPT XRP!
In the past 24H, BTC’s trading volume dropped 16% and ETH's fell 9%, with most altcoins seeing similar declines. But $XRP bucked the trend, surging 7%.

If you are wondering why we have not heard from @ScamDetective5 for several hours he is in his bunker in a crises meeting contemplating if he can find any negative spin on the Evernorth news. Difficult task but he’s inventive.
If he comes up with nothing else, I guess he can have recourse to the low hanging fruit that the news did not do much for XRP price.

Question for @SECPaulSAtkins and @HesterPeirce. How come Binance are sending 10's of 1000s of Solana $SOL tokens to Wintermute marker maker daily and 1000s of $ETH tokens but they report having no $SOL or $ETH tokens in their proof of reserves outside customer funds? They report 100% of their holdings are customer funds.
Are these customer assets? See for yourselves.

Yes, yes we get it already. This bill will end the monopoly your bankster donors have on tracking our purchases and exploiting our data. Aren't you at least happy there will be free market competition?

"...if you owned 100B $'s of a crypto asset that you will only get full access to a decade or more from now, would you not do everything that you possibly can to grow the value of that asset over the next 10-20 years?"
If you ever start questioning Ripple's intentions with $XRP or feel as if they are "losing focus" on it, remember who stands to gain the most from a higher priced $XRP.
It's not me or you- it's Ripple.
RippleNet, $RLUSD, and most of their other initiatives, are all single pieces of a much larger puzzle whose primary focus is to drive use, adoption, growth and value to $XRP in one way or another.
Replying to @chad9483
Ripple can probably be fine without $XRP and $XRP can be fine without Ripple- not all of Ripple's products require $XRP and $XRP doesn't require Ripple to exist. The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is decentralized so if Ripple were to shut down tomorrow the XRPL would still exist and continue to function, with $XRP being used as it's gas token (like ETH on the ERC-20 network).
With that being said, Ripple is the single largest holder of $XRP. They currently hold over 100B dollars of $XRP however most of it is locked away in a time-locked escrow of which a small portion gets released every month for, at minimum, the next 5 years. Because a lot of the monthly release tokens are re-locked for another 5 years, the timeline for the full unlock keeps getting pushed back indefinitely.
Keeping the above in mind, if you owned 100B $'s of a crypto asset that you will only get full access to a decade or more from now, would you not do everything that you possibly can to grow the value of that asset over the next 10-20 years? It is in Ripple's best interest to make the value of $XRP increase as much as possible for as long as possible because they will be single greatest beneficiary of this price increase- more so than me or you- for the next decades.
How do they do this? By increasing it's utility and therefore increasing demand for it. One way they can do this is by selling a product that doesn't NEED $XRP but that can possibly be even BETTER with $XRP. The more they can grow their network and customer/client base via their non-XRP products, the more opportunities they have to plug $XRP into the mix down the road.
It's kind of like a store or website advertising a "massive sale" to get customers to visit and then once the customer walks in they can try and up-sell their other products.
It's just simple logic- if you have 100B of a particular asset on your books and you have the power to potentially increase demand/utility for this asset to make that 100B worth 2, 5, or 10x the current valuation, why wouldn't you? All other revenue sources would pale in comparison to the profit that may be made from increasing the value of Ripple's $XRP (which increases the value of all XRP). At the end of the day, this is probably Ripple's #1 focus simple because it's likely to be orders of magnitude more lucrative for them than anything else they are offering 🤷♂️
