Giyuu supports the EB project: sure, understandable. Giyuu wants an EB for himself: sure, understandable. Giyuu now slated to get an Enchanted Blade: Sure, makes sense. And then you realize the blade Giyuu (didn't) get, was the one Akemura did. Giyuu could've had the Magatsumi.

This interaction is so heartwarming to me. They have known each other for a week. But through discipline, life-altering events & show of character, not only did Subaru come to understand just how true to his word Kunishige is - but Kunishige, just how grand of a person Subaru is.

Which subsequently means that Samura blinded himself sometime in the last year since Kunishige met him. Meaning we now have an official timeline of when the blinding happened, that being ~19 years of age. That scene will hit like CRACK. Because you just KNOW we're seeing it.

To those asking why Samura is already blind and has the scars here, you need to check Chapter 53. He didn't blind himself during or after the war. It happened before that, when he killed for the first time.

Who decided that color pages have to be the first page of the chapter? Part of the charm with the newer generation of manga (Sui Ishida, Sumi Eno, and now, Takamasa Moue) is that color pages can be used anywhere. A page-turner, the chapter's centerpiece Or the very finale.
