That awkward moment when the person controlling this account doesn’t realize a second poll showing Ballard at 5% has been released today 🤦🏻♂️
… and anyone involved in politics more than a day knows sharing your “informed ballot” (aka results after I’ve said all these great things amount this candidate, but not these others) is useless.
Ballard’s campaign ended today.
My campaign issued the following statement about a new poll in the race released today:
“This poll was paid for by Hoosier Leadership for America, a dark money group associated with Republican Senator Jim Banks. They gave Max Engling's campaign $60,000 in June—twelve times the legal limit—before the money was refunded. Of course, their poll has Max winning. If they think these numbers for Mayor Ballard are accurate, why are they spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to attack him on TV?
Our own polling found 58% of likely voters are unaware of Ballard’s candidacy. When voters learn he is the former two-term Republican mayor of Indianapolis and a Marine veteran running as an independent, Greg Ballard moves into a statistical tie for first place - with 34%.”
100% right here. The story is about the Bayh campaign’s slipping support in the polls.
Thank you Brandon for refocusing on the main take away from today!
Let me see if this works….
I double dog dare the Bayh campaign to release their polls from prior to the Republican candidate switch, to show how much more Beau’s support has slipped in the last 100 days.
Beau Bayh’s campaign responds to Max Engling’s releasing his own internal top lines from last month in Indiana’s Secretary of State race:
42% - Beau Bayh (D)
36% - Max Engling (R)
5% - Lauri Shillings (L)
5% - Greg Ballard (Lincoln Party)
12% Undecided

You: Horrific allegations of multiple layers of illegal activity involving the highest people in positions of authority.
Me: Here is a 7-paragraph deconstruction of you as a person and your entire existence and every claim past and current you’ve ever made.
You:
Apologies for the length up front, but they’ve made up a lot of stuff to call out, let’s begin….
First off; this is absolutely false to its core, both in the allegation about me, but also in who this person is saying they are and that comes into play with the initial allegation itself.
For those watching this account, we’ve danced around how this page is fake; I feel like I must now show how it is.
So besides being a former county chairman, former Indiana Republican Party employee… as of today the most proficient door knocker in the state as you would’ve needed to hit ~1,000 doors between two people to probably talk to 293 voters… you’re now suggesting *checks notes*… the first person who swings at you and embarrasses you; you somehow worked directly/personally with on a horrific scandal. Hmmm, that seems like a very ironic coincidence, I’ll come back to that.
And if you’re going to make lies up, don’t be sloppy. There hasn’t been a single person who was a former county chairman, that worked as an employee for the Indiana Republican Party, that is married with grandkids, who currently lives in the 4th congressional district; in the entire 13 years I’ve been involved in Indiana politics. Also to be clear, there isn’t anyone that comes to mind that hits two out of the five criteria.
Lastly, let’s go back to your claim. You’re casually suggesting you were part of a cover up with the two most prominent members of the Indiana GOP during a very narrow period we overlapped in positions. You’re literally suggesting to be one of a handful of potential employees during a period in the first ~9 months of 2023 that simply don’t meet any two of your criteria. *side note for those reading, this person stated they worked for Hupfer AND Gov. Holcomb; well one worked for the party and one was the governor; so either they’re padding their resume again and they now also worked in state government… or they’re using ad libs of political leaders*. Also, how you play it off comically in your follow up tweet, is extremely disappointing. It’s almost like you’re not concerned that if the story came back to you, you wouldn’t be in trouble for a coverup, which would be illegal and something horrific to casually admit to being part of….hmmm, probably because you know you are making stuff up.
Make up doors numbers not stories. I can’t believe you would say such a thing and while your account was once amusing; it is sad to see someone use this account to just try to smear like this. Luckily, your bad track record of lying has helped shine the light on you being a complete fraud. Goodbye.
Volunteer: “I earned us 239 votes today!”
*cut to volunteer sporadically lit bombing every house in the neighborhood and putting in random data in the voter system*
Forget about this account being fake, this is top tier political field work inside joke material. Chef’s kiss 🤌🏻
What a beautiful day in Southern Indiana. My wife and I door-knocked today and got 239 Republican voters to cast their ballots for Beau Bayh this November or Early Voting.
We talked with a lot of Republican voters about Max Engling vandalizing city property, committing a Level 6 felony on his campaign finance reports, and then spending campaign money on hotel rooms for personal use. We also told them we want Engling held accountable for his criminal activity.
We explained the difference between Trump being labeled a felon and Engling potentially becoming one for lying on his campaign finances. Engling knowingly lied. Trump was charged with inflating property values—a witch hunt.
We also educated voters on Beau Bayh: a Marine veteran and an experienced attorney who knows our laws. Why would we want a lawbreaker like Max Engling when we can have Beau Bayh, a member of our courts?
My wife and I stopped for ice cream on the way back to Central Indiana. Tuesday we’re heading up to Northern Indiana to flip more Republican votes.
Remember to vote for Beau Bayh this November because our republic is on the line. #RepublicansForBayh #BeauOrBust
Beau, you should probably sit this one out.
You’re the son of a U.S. Senator who:
❌traded stocks while in office, and
❌made $6.3M in 18 months in speaking fees and corporate boards, and
❌was appointed to a banking board 6 months after serving on the Banking committee, and
❌made $1.9M in 18 months working for a law and lobbying firm within 4 years of leaving office.
Yesterday, Diego Morales issued a statement that said there is "no corruption to clean up" in the Secretary of State's office.
This is the same office that spent $92,000 in taxpayer money on a luxury SUV, handed out millions of dollars in no-bid contracts to campaign donors, created six-figure jobs for the Secretary's own family members, and allowed for unexplained world travel.
Hoosiers know better, and we are fed up with the wasteful spending, corruption, and insider dealing that has infested this office.
Today I am releasing a four-part anti-corruption pledge. I hope every candidate in this race can adopt these pledges.
Beau: Mentions his family background in multiple ways to share what he grew up around, as commonly seen by those who run office to show a personal side of their life. Literally mentions his family background on national tv.
Snyde: 🦗🦗🦗
Me: Mentions his family background in multiple ways to share what he grew up around, as commonly seen by those who run office to show a personal side of their life.
Snyde: Suspicious!!!!! 🧐🧐🧐
At least attempt to be a serious person.
Max: “I worked my way through college working construction.”
Brandon: 20 years later you made a good salary!!!! YoU’rE tHe SwAmP!!
Meanwhile the Bayh Family…..
-Has ran for office EIGHT DECADES in a row.
-His dad joined corporate boards that he regulated less than 180 days after leaving office. INCLUDING a bank board which he made just short of $1 million dollars on… remind you, he served on the Banking Committee.
-His dad became a partner of law and lobbying firm within 12 months of leaving the U.S. Senate
But yeah, the guy who worked through college, started as an intern and worked his way up… that’s the one that is the swamp.
Max you are a career DC staffer who made $160,000 a year working for Kevin McCarthy while Beau was serving in the Marine Corps. The DC establishment was literally created by guys like you. You're the swamp President Trump wanted to drain in 2016.
Yep, when I knew you were going to spend $600K to get the signatures, I signed up to make sure I got the pleasure of running the campaign against you. 😊
With your desire to balloon the office budget and horrific debate performance, the choice was clearly the right one.
Your staff has you reading tweets instead of talking about your debate performance… let that sink in.

The midterms are more important than ever.
I’m running for Secretary of State to protect the integrity of our elections, make it easier to do business in Indiana, strengthen protections against fraud, and ensure the office serves the people with transparency, accountability, and efficiency 🇺🇸

Our first Tusk Force Training & Door Launch was a success! Over 400 doors knocked in Porter County despite a heat wave and thunderstorms. We are just getting started! 🇺🇸🐘
I honestly wonder if he just does whatever his consultants tell him to do, because I struggle to believe he has THIS BAD OF POLITICAL INSTINCT.
Two days before Ballard is on, the show is hosting a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. That same show openly promotes communism and communist messages online.
Yikes Team Ballard.
Thank you to the Town of Chesterfield for putting on another fantastic Fourth of July parade!
#TeamPierce had a great time participating along with the Madison County Republican Party.
Have a great holiday! 🇺🇸

Tell me you’re an out of state political firm without telling me you’re an out of state political firm.
If I was my opponent… I would be pissed.
My opponent’s PACs supporting her don’t even know the names of the candidates they’re campaigning against. 🤦🏻♂️😂

Each summer and fall the Indiana General Assembly has hearings on boards called Interim Committees.
I’m honored to be named the chairman of the Code Revision Committee.
Our work is to find errors, confusing wording and duplicative items in the Indiana Code that we can remove, correct or amend to streamline the code without changing the underlying law to ensure clarity for Hoosiers.
I’m excited to get to work 🇺🇸
For the party that is dogmatic on that you must adhere to what someone tells you is their name or nickname is… weird to not give that same respect to someone they oppose.
To be clear, your own background photo, his website, his campaign email handle, his social media, and the state Dems comms use Beau. Understandable, it’s what he goes by.
But the State Democrat Party is insistent to use Max’s full name even though it isn’t used in his website, email, social media, press releases, and so on. I have no doubt, just like Beau, Max has no problems with his name.
So why is your state party insistent on utilizing Max’s name differently than how Beau uses his? I would appreciate understanding how he doesn’t deserve the same level of respect.
