For those who are missing baseball @PiedmontBase @MLB @Mets this day is a special day on the calendar every season. Jackie Robinson Day #42. Great article by @alysonfooter on what MLB.com is doing to continue to recognize this day in 2020.

1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African-American player in @MLB when he stepped onto Ebbets Field to compete for the Brooklyn Dodgers. His legacy is greater than the game of #baseball. Today we honor #JackieRobinson as a hero of civil rights.
Catcher, Wilson Contrares, posted this training video and we couldn’t help but grab the ideas. Great drills to do 🏡. 1️⃣ No Glove receiving 2️⃣ No glove receiving to popping-up to throw out a runner 3️⃣ Receiving with a glove. #catching #wemissbaseball @BabeRuthMAR
Youth Baseball players all across the country waiting on-deck for baseball to start again be like..... @bryceharper3 @baberuthleague @baberuthmar @mlb #littleleague #baseball #nomorecoronaplease @phillies #phillies #piedmont #hitting #baseballlife⚾️ #Delawarebaseball

If you take advice from anyone, it should be Tony Gwynn. Here is a great way to use the T to move from the hardest pitch to hit to the easiest. Use at home w/ Wiffle balls.
Throwing a ball using a 4-seam grip is an essential skill to being a top defender. ⚾️ A 4-seam grip keeps the ball flat and straight during a throw to first, second or home. It’s also a grip that all young pitchers should be using to hit the strike zone. Good Luck! #baseball
Here’s a great #Hitting drill that focus on keeping your hands inside during the swing. You’ll need a T, some wiffle or heavy balls and a partner. Focus on keeping the hands inside for a quick swing. #baseball #softball #piedmont #piedmontpark #stayhomestaysafe 🥎⚾️
Instead of a drill, here is a fun challenge that can be done at home! Thanks to @dukebaxter for posting. If you haven’t followed #dukebaxter now is the time. He’s awesome. 🥎⚾️ #stayhomestaysafe #piedmont #baseball #baseballchallenge #baberuth @BabeRuthLeague
We postponed baseball in hopes that we can play baseball. #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe @JohnCarneyDE
We continue to hear instances of people gathering together in groups. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽.
We all need to do our part, and to take this public health threat seriously.
Stay home.
Social distance.
Wash your hands.
