Congrats to the "NAZA" filmmakers for the record 24-minute standing ovation at Venice Film Festival, barely beating the previous record. And kudos to the festival director for not only tirelessly leading the audience in applauding, but also meticulously checking his watch in order to congratulate the filmmakers the moment the previous record was beaten, so that the filmmakers could leave and everyone could finally stop applauding and go home. The festival director's timekeeping skills were also demonstrated during last year's Venice festival, where he led the audience of "The Voice of Hind Rajab" in the then-record 23-minute applause, barely beating the earlier 22-minute record. Also congrats to whichever Israel-bashing documentary the director will lead in a record-breaking 25-minute standing ovation in the 2027 Venice festival.
