Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning went viral for their 2014 cover of 2009 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Metallica's "Enter Sandman," reaching over 27 million views on YouTube. The Warning has now taken the world by storm, touring with Yungblud, Halsey, and 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Foo Fighters, among other noteworthy acts. Bassist Alejandra Villareal said, "We're so happy that more and more women are getting these opportunities —not just on stage, but in the crews, in the media, behind the scenes. There's just a lot more women around now, and we're glad it's changing. Hopefully one day, it won't be something people point out anymore because it'll just be normal."
