As for my investments, I've intentionally made them public, as you see on my LinkedIn. I invest in Shield AI and Anduril for no other reason than I believe in their ability to develop technology that equips and protects the American warfighter. That's something deeply personal to me that I believe in.

I bought my house for $140,000 in 2003. The county now calls it $510,000. So where’s the $370,000 I supposedly made?
I didn’t sell. No check showed up. Nothing landed in my account.
Taxes still climbed, because on paper the place is worth more.
That isn’t income. It’s a figure someone wrote down, then billed me on.
Stocks can double, and if I don’t sell, it isn’t cash. A flat paycheck doesn’t raise my income tax just because someone decides I’m worth more.
A house gets treated differently.
Why am I taxed on a gain I never took?
You can own it free and clear and still owe more every year for money you never saw.
This isn’t about the house being “worth” more. It’s about paying tax on value that never became cash.
