So like all who interact with acutely bereaved persons, we are often asked: "Does it ever get better?" Our response may not be exactly what they want to hear or expect, but it is all we have: "No, but it gets different and so do you and you come to manage better." Best!

It is not being disloyal to our child to feel happy. You might find yourself enjoying a special meal, a drink, the good company of friends, songs and music. Adjusting to life without your child means that hopefully, in time, you will find more joy in living. #SurvivingChristmas
