The corgi is a bit discombobulated this week. Her pack mentality is thrown off since the old timer passed. She's feeling out her place and adjusting.

Last night my oldest son was accepted into the Chief's Mess. The "Final Night" is the final evolution for Navy Chief Selectees. You are critically judged by your peers to carry on the tradition of being a Navy Chief. In a few hours, he gets pinned as a new Chief. I'm very proud.

In 29 years of police work, I learned to trust my gut. That hasn't changed in retirement. Just the ability to dig deeper into the rabbit hole.
