Great ad from James Talarico. Elon Musk is literally Lex Luthor.
This ad is brutal.

"Call me old-fashioned or idealistic, but I still believe that morality should play a role in American foreign policy. Of course, American presidents and diplomats sometimes must engage with autocrats to advance U.S. interests. I did as the U.S. ambassador to Russia. But we do not have to embrace them as friends or allies, especially imperial dictators like Putin, who uses terrorism and kidnapping as instruments of his war against Ukraine. I do not want my country helping such an evil leader. I want my country to be against imperialism and for sovereignty, to stand against dictatorship and for democracy, to aid those fighting for independence and against occupation."

I never saw anyone fight so hard for his country as Zelenskyy, and I never saw anyone betray his country so openly as trump.

The US eliminated measles in 2000. It took scientists decades to do it, and influencers about ten years to undo it.

Weirdly, the first country to surrender in the war between Russia and Ukraine, was America. 🇺🇸

We've reached a strange point in history. People fear trace amounts of chemicals in food. But happily consume enormous amounts of misinformation every day. Only one of those comes without a safety assessment.

On Monday, Putin murdered a mother and her baby on a playground in Ukraine. On Wednesday, Witkoff called the deranged Russian dictator a humanitarian. Sometimes, I wonder if a society that produces men like Steve Witkoff is worth saving. God help us all.

Alastair Campbell, "Steve Witkoff is a disgrace. Tens of thousands of Ukrainian children have been taken to Russia and Steve Witkoff calls Putin a humanitarian" "The Americans (Trump) speak about Putin in a way which is diametrical to the way they speak about Zelenskyy" "Trump has decided that this war has to end with Ukraine losing" "Trump has contempt for Zelenskyy because he's a proper leader with values and integrity, and all the things Donald Trump doesn't stand for" My view: Witkoff calling Putin a humanitarian is bad enough. But it fits the way Trump’s team now talks about this war: praise for the man who invaded Ukraine, contempt for the leader defending it. Trump says he wants the war to end. But if the price of that “peace” is Ukraine losing territory, security and its freedom to choose its own future, then it is not a fair settlement. It is rewarding aggression. Zelenskyy is a leader fighting for his country’s survival. Trump’s hostility towards him says far more about Trump’s values than it does about Zelenskyy’s.

I'm sitting in a Kyiv hotel room listening to explosions that are rattling the windows. Meanwhile, the White House is trying to cyber-bully me because I criticized Steve Witkoff for calling Putin a “humanitarian.” What a weird night. Ah, to be an American journalist in Ukraine.

The greatest intelligence failure in American history may not have been a foreign operation. It may have been America's inability to protect itself from its own president. For years, the evidence of Trump's extraordinary loyalty to Moscow has been mounting. His admiration for Putin, his attacks on NATO, his possession of highly classified American defence secrets, and his repeated willingness to advance Russian interests. Yet the most extraordinary part of this entire scandal is the American state itself. The FBI, the intelligence community, Congress and the entire national security apparatus have proved incapable of protecting the country from a president whose conduct has repeatedly raised profound questions about his loyalty. Russia spent decades trying to defeat the United States from the outside. Now Putin can watch an American president dismantle the Western order from within. And the institutions built to defend America have been unable to stop him. What an extraordinary national humiliation.

This summer, 86 Senators came together to strengthen sanctions on Russia. This weekend, Trump incinerated that consensus to hand another massive giveaway to Putin as he wages his bloody assault on Ukraine. Time and time again, Trump ignores the needs of the American people, our laws, and our allies to cozy up to Putin.

As the limits of US support become increasingly clear, the debate over frozen russian assets is back on the EU’s agenda. My position remains unchanged: the aggressor’s money should be used to help Ukraine survive and defend itself. We must find a proper legal and political path to have this done. When there is a will there's a way.

If Putin stops fighting, the war is over, sanctions stop, and fuel flows. If Ukraine stops fighting, they will be occupied, leaders murdered, their language forbidden, children re-educated, and businesses taken over by Russian oligarchs. Get the difference, because Trump doesn’t
