As both a historian & a Millennial (born in 89), I've been pondering for quite some time why so many in my generation think this way. Because what we've lived through is not even remotely historically abnormal or chaotic.
My idea: Our formative years came in the 1990s, an unusually peaceful period in global history, especially in the West. Childhood experiences anchor our views of normalcy well into adulthood; we Millennials are tacitly used to the world of the 90s, so when history returned with a vengeance, it felt overwhelming to many.
But we haven't lived through anything prior generations didn't. Not even close.

Fox: Why are you here this morning?
Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

I could care less how close any particular Bond is to the books. I’ve never read any of them. Film is a different medium and the movie franchise took on a life of its own decades ago. Just make good movies.
So, my wife tells me she would have been impressed if I had brought flowers to our first date. But she thinks that joining a yoga class with the intention of asking a woman out in that class is a horrendous idea.

30 years ago, I wouldn’t have bought flowers for a woman on a first date. Neither would any of my long-married friends. I get what he is saying about making the effort, and so many of the replies are oozing misogyny and self-loathing, but I get the pile on.

1.) I might be old but the guy who caught the ball looks like a kid to me. He's there with his dad.
2.) If you catch a ball fair and square (not over the head of a child or snatching it out of someone else's loose grip) it's yours. Baseball is for everyone.
3.) The world doesn't always revolve around kids and using a child to play moral superiority games is manipulative and wrong.

People don’t talk about this scene enough. Tony was screwed either way. Whether he was killed or not, he was facing indictments on multiple charges, including murder. His life as he knew it was basically over.

It's gone a bit under the radar, but Hazelwood Green development is taking off. CMU's Robotics Innovation Center opened this year, Pitt's BioForge will open soon, and the area's first apartments will open in December.
