Carry On Mark

Watching the Walter Catlett short Fuller Gush Man, it's blinking hilarious.

Watching the brilliant Peggy Cummins/John Gregson/Shelley Winters film To Dorothy A Son. Written by the legend behind the Carry On films Peter Rogers, it also stars future Carry Oner's Joan Sims and Charles Hawtrey. Great movie.

Watching Bad Sister, good little drama/thriller from the early 30s.

Think it's time for a Rathbone Sherlock Holmes, it's been a while. Going with The Pearl Of Death.

Watching the Frankie Howerd film A Touch Of The Sun, good little movie this.

Time for a Brew and some Cats Does Countdown.

Watching the Raymond Griffiths Christmas short The Sleeping Porch. This is quite a recent one for him, 1929.

Watching The Ledge. Reminds me of the excellent Cliffhanger, not as good obviously but it's still enjoyable.

Watching Phantom of the Opera now, a rare colour outing for a Universal horror.

Watching The Creature From The Black Lagoon, when I was younger I used to think of this as the recent one. Heck I still do, it's only 70 years old.

In a Universal mood, so Watching The Mummy's Ghost. Really love these old horrors.

Watching Frankenstein, the original Boris Karloff classic. Bet if you asked 100 people the name of Dwight Frye's hunchback at least half would say he's called Ygor, but of course he's not.

Breaking open the William Castle set and Watching 13 Ghosts.

Today's Blurays. Got the William Castle set, some great films and extras in here.

Watching The Tell-Tale Heart. I know this story well but don't think I've ever seen a film version of it.

Watching the Susan George gem Fright, although from the cast list it looks like I'm watching an episode of Minder.

The Takeaway is here, and think this gem will be tonight's watching.

Time for a bit of Stan and Ollie, Their Purple Moment.

It's that time of year again.

For all you fans of this masterpiece, there's a brand new documentary about Ghostwatch on channel 5 at 9:15 tonight. My favourite Halloween ever was watching this with my family back in 1992 believing it was going out "live" great stuff and great memories.
