Yesterday HSVSphere went to an interview with Linus Torvalds. There was a starving dog on the road. He stopped to feed him & missed his interview.
Next day he got called asking to come do the interview. He was surprised, but he went. Then the interviewer came in. Turns out the dog was Linus Torvalds all along.
He failed the interview miserably because he used a syscall per byte to read the string, and was retroactively aborted by Linus Torvalds.
But he's glad for the experience and what it taught him about B2B Sales, and looking for his next adventure.
If all young men where like HSVSphere, the economy would be looking a lot different, that's for sure!!

Linus Torvalds once said a dev should be “retroactively aborted.”
The crime: reading ONE BYTE AT A TIME with a syscall per byte.
Toxic? Maybe. But he gave the fix: “just use seq_printf().”
Brutal AND actionable. Most people are neither.
Hard feedback is what ships the kernel.
