A couple of pics from our lab “Unhappy Hours” the past two weeks. Had to furlough some excellent researchers due to funding ‘issues’ not of my making…

Only 7 years, but all of these students and postdocs have moved on. One of the satisfying and sad parts of being a PI m.facebook.com/story.php?sto…

I’m excited to share a new manuscript on Sirtuin6-nucleosome structure, a result of a great collaboration between @PetersonLab, Song Tan’s, and @valendraica labs. /1 biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Very very sad news.
Just sharing another sad news with the scientific community. The Pioneering molecular biologist Dr. Michael Green, M.D. Ph.D., HHMI and NAS member from Umass Med. School, passed away today with a stroke. Dr. Green revolutionized our understanding of transcription factors. RIP

Our smFRET study on H2A.Z deposition is finally out in Nature Communications! It took nearly 10 months but I think the final product was worth the pain. Fantastic collaboration with Joe Loparo and Andrew Moreno at HMS. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
