Notably, if elected, she is also likely to be the only gay woman in the Missouri Legislature, at a time when the rights of LGBT folks are particularly threatened by the Republicans in that chamber. They need to hear her voice.

Apparently they decided to start PQing and prevent Dems from talking on the actual details of the budget because they wanted to spend our limited floor time left today congratulating themselves instead - on the least transparent budget they’ve passed yet. #moleg
Amid his speech of ignorant rhetoric about the “evils of DEI” Rep Richey did get one thing right - “you don’t fight racism with racism.” Exactly, Doug. You fight racism with education, exposure and empathy. You fight racism with diversity, equity and inclusion. #moleg
This “concurrent majority” Rs are pushing for constitutional amendments is simple. They want Republican politicians to be able to gerrymander the vote of the people just like they gerrymander the legislature. They just can’t stand democracy or the will of voters.#moleg
It’s so hard sometimes to listen to Rs like @BenBakerMO lie on the floor over and over again with such inflammatory rhetoric and not be allowed to reply. But sometimes these guys aren’t worth the effort anyway. Voters need to start answering with elections. November is coming…

While the Missouri House Republicans are voting to defund cancer screenings, STI testing, and basic healthcare- most of them are in the back of the House shoveling cake in their faces instead of listening to the debate. #LetThemEatCake
