We are delighted to have been chosen as one of Waitrose & Partners in Peterborough nominated charities for October to December. So if you’re popping in when you’re heading to the station or doing your weekly shop, feel free to stick the green tokens in our box.

Wonderful @MomentMag, showcasing my ambition for our city 🌹
What we have done, and what we will carry on doing.
Station Quarter. £6m library. Cygnet Bridge. Goods Shed food hall. Toilets and markets returning. £40m for the city's most deprived communities. The Hilton and TK Maxx finally resolved.
Is it all finally coming together for Peterborough?
We asked Council Leader Shabina Qayyum to map the full picture of the City Centre Visioning project.

We spent the morning at the excellent Mary Queen of Scots exhibition in Peterborough Cathedral – a wealth for information, some marvellous interpretation boards and a whole host of artefacts. Well worth visiting!

🚨 Day One of Operation Horizon complete! 🚨
The first day of our 2-day focus on our city centre is complete, signalling that we are entering a new age of our approach in tackling city centre issues, in partnership with @CambsCops and @PboroPositive
Today we have been:
✔️ Working at the Embankment - speaking to rough sleepers, unauthorised encampments and boat related encroachment
✔️ Clearing over x20 bags of litter from the woodland area around the old Regional Pool
✔️ Clearing a hanging branch which had broken off a tree in Bridge Street
✔️ Removing a car which was parked on the Embankment
✔️ Tackling anti social issues like street drinking
✔️ Hot washing Cathedral Square streets
✔️ Engaging with businesses
✔️ Inspecting businesses for food safety
✔️ Cleaning graffiti off walls, benches and bins
✔️ Manning stalls on Cathedral Square to encourage recycling
✔️ Clearing flytipping
✔️ Identifying 28 homes in disrepair and with safety/waste issues
✔️ Litter picking across the entire city centre
You have told us these issues should be prioritised and we have listened!
We will be out for Day 2 tomorrow.

I love him.
So one of the two I will be announcing next week.
The other is an issue that involves a Multidisciplinary approach but I’m trying.
Many thanks to the Peterborough Podcast for airing this episode.
The marvellous @TobyWoody.
