Does America stand by the Afghan Allies who stood by it?
Mullin once suggested it should. Now he can prove it, I argue in WaPo.

after decades of speculation, proof has been uncovered that the image is not some mythical secluded creature who haunts the woods of North America.
Researchers have definitely shown that the hairy beast shown in the photo is actually your mom

The Trump Administration was clearly lying about the reasons for their mass felling of trees in East Potomac last weekend.
They were lying to conceal from the American people that, at a time when our country is at war and everyone is worried about the economy and high prices, the President simply doesn’t care—he’s focused on building an upscale golf course within walking distance of the White House. And on his fancy ballroom and his memorial arch to himself.
The design he’s pursuing would block off roads and paths used by large numbers of local residents for cycling and walking, no doubt to make the area another exclusive hangout for Trump’s rich and powerful friends.
And once again he’s doing all of that at great expense, on your dime.
Breaking: Trump says he'll close East Potomac golf course Nov 15 and begin his overhaul
"The current Course is old, broken, dilapidated, and of no further use or effect," Trump wrote.
Officials didn't immediately respond to Qs about cost

Oh, I spray (what a dream)
At this moment,

Should I be funny in this meeting? It’ll derail things for a bit and it’s mildly inappropriate but… if I get at least 5 crying face emojis in the team slack… these are the decisions I wrestle with…
Interviewer: we meant a time you faced a difficult work related decision …
Your reminder that the cultural, geographical, logistical, and political center of the country is and always has been St Louis
If your takeaway from A Few Good Men is “we often need strong men to do unsavory things and whenever we peak under the hood, we dont like it, correct it, and get worse results because of it”
… I mean you just need to watch the movie again. You have missed… everything.
Replying to @ClayTravis
I always thought that the beauty of this movie and why Sorkin nails this in a way he didnt with West Wing is the moral ambiguity many missed while watching. That we often need strong men to do unsavory things and whenever we peak under the hood, we dont like it, correct it, and get worse results because of it
(also others have said it, but Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs needs to be mentioned in terms of acting excellence per screen time metric)
Usually the mark of maturing is movement in the other direction - increasing understanding that Jessup’s morality is inherently juvenile.
He abjures responsibility while claiming authority, and detests the idea of accountability - the hall marks of the thinking of a child
“Santiago doesn’t make 4.6 / 4.6 on his next proficiency and conduct report, then I am going to blame you and then I’m going to kill you.”
4.6 / 4.6 on his pro/cons is exactly the right thing to say. And that’s how we, how marines, would say it. Just tickles me that it’s right

You may love America, but did you line your wedding suit with Washington Crossing the Delaware? 🇺🇸
proud of the boys tonight. They absolutely battled toe to toe with the best team in the west for a full 90’ and more.
Energizer Park was the coliseum tonight Two gladiators fought clean, with skill and heart. Elevated all who watched. Was glad to get to be there. #allforcity
Final few minutes of play now.
a tense tight competition tonight.
Not a knife fight or brawl. not a talent showcase with dazzle. But not a defensive bunkered down snooze feats Something else. The best word…. It was definitely intense. Not heated. But intense. Like camping.
55m into regulation… this Vancouver team is solid. Organized. Calm. Collected. Clinical.
City boys showing a lot of heart. They have creativity and talent. But we’ve been caught out and exposed a few times.
Quite a match happening in the shadow of Union Station tonight.
The city park faithful are fired up. They paid for the whole seat. But they only need the edge. High stakes intense atmosphere tonight.
And very unhappy (volume on) about a scary moment here #allforcity
