Mit Keynotes von Friedrich Merz und Emmanuel Macron wurde klar: Digitale Selbstbestimmung ist Sicherheits-, Innovations- und Demokratiepolitik zugleich.
Österreich hat das Thema erstmals 2025 auf EU-Ebene verankert und den Prozess bis zur Einigung geführt. Jetzt beginnt die Umsetzung – mit offenen Standards, gemeinsamen Cloud-Strukturen, vertrauenswürdiger KI und starker digitaler Bildung. 💪🇪🇺

Huge news! The commission has adopted implementing regulations that detail the core functionalities of European Digital Identity Wallets as well as how certification will work.
This means citizens can now expect wallets by the end of 2026!
