What happens when political rhetoric crosses the line?
In this Curtin’s Cast clip, @KosSamaras responds to Pauline Hanson’s attacks on Australian Muslims.
@PeterKhalilMP warns that language like this legitimises hostility toward minorities more broadly.
@Dyrenfurth adds that this is precisely the warning the Jewish community has long made about antisemitism: it often begins with attacks on Jews — from both the far right and the far left — but it never ends there.

This week there's a choice for the Greens -- vote with Peter Dutton's Liberals to block housing help or vote with Labor to support thousands of low and middle income renters into home ownership.

Today I stood down as Chair of the PJCIS to focus on my new role as Special Envoy for Social Cohesion.
As @SenRaffCiccone steps into the role, I know he will lead with a dedication and unwavering commitment to Australia’s national security.

Great to host @PeterKhalilMP in his new role as Special Envoy.
Thanks for coming and listening. We raised social cohesion, the health crisis in offshore detention, a pathway to permanency for those failed by fast track, visas for Palestinians & increased demand for our services.
I thank the Prime Minister for the trust he’s shown in me, and look forward to contributing to this policy area as the new Special Envoy for Social Cohesion.
Australia’s diversity and our cohesiveness as a society is one of our greatest strengths. What connects us above all is being Australian. That thread runs through our communities, connecting us all regardless of our culture, heritage, language, customs and experiences.
The Greens Political Party and the Liberal Party just voted together against a motion recognising a Palestinian State as part of an enduring peace and a two-state solution.
