A good (and busy) Friday. Had my first meeting with the full producing team behind an epic dystopian post-apocalyptic drama limited series, in which I've been approached to help write. After this, I signed a new development deal on my latest horror feature script. 👍👍🎬
My script, Screamville, is being optioned. Third option in the last week. If you’re into wild demons and monsters galore, this one’s for you.

Just this morning closed a deal to write a feature film for a production company in New York. That on top of two optioned scripts has made this a very busy week. Sometimes when it rains it pours. Grateful for the water, as always. 👍🎬

when the trees are gone & the water is no longer clean & our natural resources are depleted & they’re trying to sell us bottled air like the fucking lorax, when nature becomes a luxury & the bees disappear and the food supply dwindles, at least you owned the libs, am I right?!
For the 2nd time in a week a producer has reached out to me out of the blue to pick up an older script of mine written 20 years ago for development (ref image). Something must be in the air. Whatever it is I like it. 👍🎬
My script, Banshee, is officially in development with a great producer (and team) in New Zealand. First wrote this script over 20 years ago. One of my passion projects. As I often remind people (and myself), in this business it’s more often than not a marathon not a sprint. 👍🎬
My films (to date). For every film below, several others never came to fruition, for one reason or another. Alas, the life of a creative:) Hoping to add new titles soon. Half a dozen features (and one limited series) currently in development, here in the US and abroad. 🎬
I’m an artist. I like to create, even outside the world of film. We’ve been enjoying family paint nights lately. I recommend it. Quality time together.
I have no idea what I’m doing, but I just go with it. Bob Ross would approve I think. 🤣🎨🎄☃️❄️
I’ve just been hired to write the first two episodes of an absolutely wild limited series scheduled to start shooting next year.
This one is gonna be fun (and epic).

Not in a million years. Not for a million dollars. This will be looked back upon as a stain on our history, and those who participated, enabled or were complicit won’t ever be able to erase that. That will be their legacy.
LANRETE. lo/no budget horror film I made in 2010. Literally shot it in my garage in one night. Back then I was shooting with whatever I could, wherever I could. All these short films I made helped me prepare for the jump to the feature world, which eventually came in 2016.
