Hey NFL, I hear you like diverse halftime acts. Have you considered K-pop? We love America (unlike Taylor). We speak English (unlike Bad Bunny). Zero wardrobe malfunctions (unlike Janet). No politics (unlike Billie). Just entertainment. You get precision choreography, stadium vocals, and 80,000 people trying to learn the fanchant by Monday morning. No scandals. No chaos. Just synchronized dominance and perfectly timed confetti. Holla at ya girl.

Read a history book. Specifically one about apartheid South Africa and how sports bans helped end it.
Sports are meant to be a sacrosanct sphere, where people can come together and just play the game. Yet the actions of Ireland’s national soccer team on two recent occasions — bowing their heads during the Israeli national anthem, wearing black armbands and refusing to even look Israeli players in the eye — go far beyond poor sportsmanship. They're flat-out dehumanizing. And to see this behavior directed at athletes from the world’s only Jewish state, in a country where the Jewish community is already being targeted by antisemitism at a rate that far exceeds those of all seven J7 countries, is particularly disturbing. irishtimes.com/politics/2026…

I’ve been saying this for 15 years! It’s not really breaking news :)
🚨 BREAKING: American journalist Abby Martin has called on the entire world to isolate and boycott Israel. The boycott is already starting to bear fruit.

A man ate 41 free hotel breakfasts without ever staying at the hotel. Every morning at 7:15, he walked into the dining room in a pressed shirt, nodded at the host and said, "Room 214." The host, a 20-year-old on his first job, said, "Good morning, sir, enjoy your breakfast." He ate two eggs, three sausages and a croissant, and left a small card on the table: "Eggs: excellent. Mushrooms: lacking." On day 41, the host's manager walked up behind him, glanced at the card and said, very quietly, "Sir. We don't have a Room 214." The man put down his fork. He said, "I know."...

We are disturbed to learn that @CalgaryOpera has removed bass-baritone Gabriel Sanchez-Ortega from future performances of "Tosca" after he unveiled a Palestinian flag during the curtain call on opening night. Art is political, and artists should not be punished for expressing support for the Palestinian people as they face a genocide. This decision must be reversed.

When you mess with the Steelers' rookie quarterback, you mess with Jack Lambert. After Cincinnati's Bo Harris hits Mike Kruczek late out-of-bounds, Lambert sprints the length of the bench to let him know that such antics will not be tolerated. October 17, 1976

John Salley says Shaquille O’Neal once loaned him $70,000 when they were teammates and he needed money, and when he tried to pay him back Shaq refused to accept it, so he secretly wrote him in as an investor in his new business that’s equity he’ll get is worth way more “And when I needed cash, he said, ‘How much?’ Seventy. Seventy thousand. And then this deal, I went back and said, ‘I’m going to...’ He said, ‘No, no, we're good.’” “He didn’t want it back. And I was like, huh. And then somebody was like, ‘Yeah, people owe you, you still pay.’ And I was like, to this day, which I’m going to say on the show, because the cannabis business is becoming very, very good for us, I got him in my brain as an investor. You understand what I’m saying?” “So when I kick back, it’s how many years ago was that? At this percentage, if you would've put it in the bank, it would’ve given you this. Yeah, well, I'm going to give you this and this, and you can do whatever you want with it.” “When he was with Hoopz... Hoopz is one of my favorite people on the planet, she told him, she was like, ‘That’s a real cat.’ And he always knows it.”

🇺🇸🇮🇱 Jewish actor Wallace Shawn on Israel: “You can't be more evil than what they're doing. [The Israelis] in some ways are worse than the Nazis, Hitler had the decency to try to hide what they were doing, it was a secret. The Israelis are almost proud of it and don't keep it secret. It's diabolically evil.” Writer: Samuel (the clip is from 2025)

Your belief is that our country should move like bitches with no balls, not hold Israel accountable by conditioning weapons shipments, and somehow this will lead to peace. The saying is peace through STRENGTH not WEAKNESS.

Brian Westbrook reveals what Andy Reid said to him while standing beside his own son's casket at his funeral, Westbrook approached his former coach hoping to comfort him during the most heartbreaking moment of his life, and says instead Reid looked at Westbrook and asked how he could help him because he knew he had just transitioned out of football and was looking for what was next “I’ll say Andy Reid. Andy Reid was important and influential in my life because you go into the league from a Division I-AA school, and you don't really know very many people. You're just there to grind. And the one thing Andy Reid said was, ‘Listen, I don't want to hear you talk. I don't want you to do all this other stuff. I just want you to listen to your veterans, follow their lead, and grind every single day. And if you do that, I'm going to give you a chance. I'm going to give you an opportunity.’” “And he was a man of his word. When someone says all you have to do is these things, and you follow those things, and they're going to give you this, that's meaningful to you. And to this day, I'll never forget this. This was one of the most, it was actually weird—but I think it shows the man that Andy Reid is.” “His son had a bad drug problem and ended up passing away at camp. I was a year out of the NFL at this time, and so I'm going to the funeral. And the strength of this man, Andy Reid, he's standing at his son's casket. I mean, there's lines a mile long to see him. And I walk up to him, and I'm broken because I knew these kids since I was in college. I'm broken.” “And I give him a hug, and I'm crying, and I'm like, ‘Coach, you good? What do you need?’ Before he even answered my question, he said, ‘What do you need? How can I help you? You're out of the league now. You're doing different things, TV, radio, all this other stuff. How can I help you get to where you want to?’” “We're literally at his son's funeral, beside his son's casket, and he's asking me this. And I'm confused because I'm like, ‘I'm here to comfort you.’ And through all of this, he is still trying to help former players. Still trying to mentor. Still trying to do those things. And even today, when you hear players talk about Andy Reid, they say he's a father figure. He's a great man. He's the best coach.” “Even the issues that him and T.O. had, they're tight like this today, right? And so, you know, I think about guys like that. I probably could name another 50 guys that certainly had an impact on my Mount Rushmore, but those people have influenced my life in so many different ways. Things would be totally different for me if I didn't have those men in my life, and my mother, of course.”
