Spot on @VotePursglove @NigelNelson a perfectly decent fellow fell into the Lab trap. The numbers down on visas/legal migration have nothing to do with them. I know, I was with Tom in the trenches pushing those changes Lab fought tooth and nail and then tried to take credit for

Have to say, a standing ovation for the far-right black labrador, was inspired. What a gift Labour Minister Jenny Riddell-Carpenter's prejudices have been to... well everyone who isn't a Labour hack
Kevin Hollinrake pulls out a pint then introduces his “fantasy far-right black Labrador”, in absolutely brilliant scenes from Conservative Conference. Legendary stuff. 🤣🍺🐕

I don’t know what warped logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive on the Polish border this morning. What we can say for sure is that this is the kind of random and senseless attack Ukrainians are enduring every day - even on civilian railways. So far Putin has been responsible for the deaths of 1700 staff of Ukrzaliznytsia - Ukrainian Railways. They and their daily passengers are absolutely heroic. When are we going to give them the air defences they need? Why won’t we unfreeze Putin’s cash and give it to Ukraine? There is more than €140 billion in a Belgian bank account - and about £10 billion in London. Britain could show a lead. The Ukrainians are going to win - that much was clear from the last three days in their wonderful country. But we will get this dreadful war over much faster if we all get serious and give them what they need and deserve.

Congratulations to the people of Ukraine on their Independence Day. They will never be beaten - and the sooner Putin recognises that truth the better for the world. Peace, freedom, independence and GLORY for Ukraine. 🇺🇦

We're witnessing greatest crisis of the Right in my lifetime. It is not only divided it is increasingly antagnistic. Tories take great joy from every setback that Reform faces and vice versa. And then there's Restore. Meanwhile 70 odd LibDem MPs stand ready to keep Lab in power.
Watching Reform and Restore fans and apparatchiks taking chunks out of each other is a great illustration of why the right will not unite anytime soon in Britain. This, plus the fact so many voters still loathe the Tories, does not paint a positive picture for the future…

This isn't acceptable from Zia. I don't agree with @BenWallace70 on this issue but Zia's language and attitude towards any opponent is inappropriate and counter-productive. Opponents are opponents... they aren't enemies... or "moron"s. One of the biggest question marks over @Nigel_Farage's leadership is whether he brings Zia under control. ZY is a man of huge talents but too much of his social media output is intemperate and reinforces Reform's number one problem: our negative tactical voting challenge.
Incredible that this moron was Defence Secretary. Our policy today is in direct response to your government’s failures. If their home countries won’t take back, their citizens that are languishing in our jails, we are renting spaces in countries like El Salvador to put them. They will serve their full jail terms there, and will be banned from ever coming back to Britain. They may well include some of the thousands of Afghans you imported, including those who had not been vetted properly and including Taliban fighters (!). You know, the ones you took a super injunction out to keep secret from the British people? That’s why I call you a traitor to Britain. You fit the dictionary definition @BenWallace70

I am looking forward to finally getting some answers after 5 long years of heartbreak. How was someone known to the government as being a threat free to walk the streets and kill my dad? I just can't wait for this all to be over.
The Government has today confirmed the terms of reference for an independent review into the murder of Southend MP Sir David Amess. Sir David was stabbed 21 times at a constituency surgery in Essex, in 2021, by Ali Harbi Ali, a fanatic of so-called Islamic State.

This was doomed to be a complete farce from the very start and totally inadequate when confronted with the scale of the small boats problem.
🚨 NEW: The UK's "one in, one out" deal with France currently stands at 1,117 in, 1,087 out

Incredible - still so proud of this and the team who delivered it, not least because the doubters said it couldn't be done or wouldn't happen. National retailers, hundreds and hundreds of jobs and fantastic leisure - transformative for North Northants. Feels like yesterday!

Interesting research by @BritainUnbound on revised cost of #UK membership of #EU. A lot has happened since 2016 #Brexit. The EU’s ambitions have grown as has its central budget. Throwing grants around to curry favour across the empire doesn't come cheap. The estimated new annual fee to the UK would be £35-£37Bn gross. Then there’d be a new member obligation to join #Euro, full #Schengen free movement, joint liability for loans. The Germans are already bemoaning the new financial obligations. And of course any post-brexit free trade deals would have to be ripped up, and import duties under the #Customsunion would largely go to the #Brussels treasury. Why would we ever want to join one of the slowest growing regions in the world and pay for the privilege of being told what to do?

Only possible because of #Brexit. When will this @UKLabour #government appreciate and maximise the global opportunities they have been given.
This is the most significant services trade deal the UK has ever negotiated.

I don't really care about the latest IMF forecasts, but for those who do... 😉 "Brexit Britain" is projected to be the fastest growing major (G7) economy in Europe in both 2026 and 2027, as she was in 2025... 👇
