David Emmet proving again why he is the worlds finest MotoGP journalist. He digged deeper and tells us here why Leopard's case was dropped. Spoiler: it's a very disapointing reason, lets all be glad its not a championship deciding thing. motomatters.com/news/2026/10…

As long as tires can not be tailer made for such designs, there is a very a very small chance only of them improving form the original. Tires are everything and no bike manufacurer develops his own tires. @OxleyBom

A technically sound idea. But in the crucible of racing, tried and tested won the day. I remember the Elf very fondly. Is there anything in the rules to prevent any similar developments in the future? @PeterBom4

High (air) pressure reservoir in carbon (red) and the pressure regulator (yellow) on the @ApriliaOfficial RS GP MotoGP bike, serving the pneumatic valve spring system. Besides he regulator sits what looks like sensors for pressure and temperature. @OxleyBom @matoxley @AMCN_mag

When @MotoGP bikes don't run camera's (not all do all the time), the carry a dummy with the same mass instead. Details matters as besides the weight, these parts all parts have their own frequenties. @OxleyBom @matoxley @AMCN_mag @GresiniRacing

Aprilia's are a bit early on the brakes, Diggia a bit late. As a result, 4 wide in and shit can happen. Nobody's fault.
Replying to @matoxley
@SkySportMotoGP Nice comment from Diggia 'maybe we're not yellow enough to see us' Marquez turns in hits Diggia's foot, puts Diggia in 1st gear,Diggia goes wide, Marc pulls up,Bez pulls up and is hit by Raul. Raul & Bez out. Race incident or causing two riders to crash? @PeterBom4

Diggia was forced wide because he was pretty late on the brakes. But not stupid late cause he he didn't go superwide. The prillers where on the brakes a bit early, making it a 4 wide pack.
Marc was leaving room for Bezz and if you have 3 guys on the outside you hold you line which Marc did but Diggia didn’t and moved towards Marc instead of holding the inside line. Marc was the meat in the sandwich

We can't know this yet. But in wsb and M2, the Pirelli's have shown to be less sensitive for aslightly highre pressure.
Peter, do you know if this problem is limited to Michelin's or will we have something similar next season with the Pirelli's? Thanks.

Martin profited from the first corner chaos, than was forced to slow down because of his front tire pressure being too low, than made mistakes and ended up 4e. Marc started very well and was given the win. Can't wait for tomorrow. @OxleyBom @matoxley @MotoGP

Aprilia's swingarm vanes are now carbon-fibre, replacing the 3D-printed items which first appeared at Silverstone. A vital few grams of unsprung weight saved. Less unsprung weight helps the suspension react faster, increasing grip etc. The vanes (somewhat similar to those used now and again by KTM) have a dual purpose. They tidy up the wake at the back of the bike and provide some ground-effect at maximum lean 😎✊@PeterBom4 @OxleyBom

Honda's @MotoGP rearbrake adapter is intragrated with the chain tensioner, where it can hold the mass damper (green) when needed and holds the speed sensors (yellow). Note the ventilated brake disk (red) : this brake clearly does a lot of work. @OxleyBom @matoxley @AMCN_mag

Acosta's @RedBull_KTM_Ajo was seen on friday in Motegi MotoGP using a newer version of their previous swingarm mounted aero. Adding a bit of downforce to the rearwheel and smooting out the airflow at the rear. It wasn't seen afterwards. @OxleyBom @matoxley @AMCN_mag

Aero is everything in @MotoGP and Aprilia does the best job with it. I honestly love how much performance is unlocked with it. But man, does this bike looks weird. @OxleyBom @matoxley @AMCN_mag @ApriliaOfficial

Savadori told mer in en interview that he is using different amount of fingeers, depending on the corner. One is not automatically more feel since it requirers more force. Carbon brake setup can be personalised to suit everyone but these are always trade off's
I think the one finger is a feel sensation. Marc has always used one finger, two fingers less feel, 3 fingers confusing to get the feeling of the front brake.
