Can you imagine @bbclaurak or @Peston asking some of these questions to MPs?
I definitely can’t.
This is why Owen Jones was banned from the Labour conference: he’s well informed and not afraid to ask the tough questions.

This is a fair question. Musicians have always steered clear of politics.
Oh, except Woody Guthrie, Gil Scott-Heron, Dylan, Marley, Lennon, The Clash, Nina Simone, Public Enemy, The Specials, The Manics, Tracy Chapman, Fela Kuti, Curtis Mayfield, NWA, The Jam, Billy Bragg...
Laura Kuenssberg: "Is it for people who are singers, songwriters, artists to be taking public positions on very very controversial, difficult, complicated issues"
THE most stupid, ridiculous, uninformed, ignorant question I have ever heard.

Europeans talking about sovereignty when they have American military bases occupying their countries is genuinely hilarious. You're not a sovereign country if foreign troops occupy your soil.
🇬🇱🇩🇰 “Don’t tell Trump, the Kingdom of Denmark won.”
Danish commentator Sophie Pultz told LBC the Greenland agreement largely repackages rights Washington already held under its 1951 defense treaty: broad basing rights, exclusion of adversaries and an effectively permanent pact. Denmark and Greenland, meanwhile, retain sovereignty and territorial integrity. She says what President Trump actually wins from this is a face-saving foreign-policy spectacle as the Iran war weighs on him ahead of the midterms.

Banning toys from kids. Then bombing them.
“Complex political issue”
Ed Sheeran addressed the controversy surrounding Macklemore's removal from his tour. "I never wanted to be an activist musician, but this has put me in the middle of an important and passionate argument about free speech and the most complex political issue on the planet," he said.

Ed Sheeran crying, trying to elicit sympathy must be the most shameless and pathetic thing he's done yet. He needs to fire his PR team.

She’s Christian, born in America and her mom is white. Care to shows us a picture of your family?
I dunno. I reckon kids living under the constant threat of Israeli bombs are having a worse time. But make this all about you, buddy.
"The last week of my life has been one of the worst weeks of my life," Ed Sheeran told the crowd in Philadelphia on Saturday. "Today has been one of the weirdest days of my life. Tonight has been honestly the best show of my life" rollingstone.com/music/music…

What Ed Sheeran did wrong tonight:
- Started with Oct 7th
- Called it a conflict
- Pretended that he didn't know enough
- Both Sides it
- Didn't apologise to Macklemore
- Didn't call it a genocide
- Didn't say FREE PALESTINE
- Used a teleprompter
- Didn't blame Israel

This woman has now been doxxed by Tommy Robinson and the Pink Ladies.
The same playbook they’ve used against me: intimidation, threats and doxxing — all while knowing I have kids.
Once again proving that they don’t give a fuck about women and children.
"It's really upsetting - it's always been the most amazingly peaceful place to live and we've never experienced the level of overt racism that we’re witnessing"

One thing that many people don't realize about these Birthright trips is that the IOF soldiers who lead them are rarely lying to the participants. They're honestly pretty open about it because most of them think it's cool or funny

I see the Democrat who rammed NAFTA through Congress, deregulated Wall Street, destroyed the working class, cheered the Iraq War, killed the public option, helped create conditions for epic Dem losses, cashed in on Wall Street, benefited from his mayoral administration’s coverup of a police murder of a teenager…I see this same person has now logged on and has opinions.
Now that he won’t stop talking, the folks who told us Hasan Piker is a serious voice who should be listened to ought to let us know which of these positions we’re supposed to take seriously:
1. That “pound for pound,” America is worse than al-Qaeda - a ridiculous statement on a normal day, but particularly vile the same week we’re reflecting on the loss of 3,000 Americans on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
2. That Communist China’s repressive regime is the “model” for America.
3. That Mao was “a great man of history” while the collapse of the Soviet Union was "one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century."
The great thing about America is that everyone is entitled to their opinions and free to express them, however dumb or immoral. That includes ‘Comrade’ Piker. The rest of us are just as free - obligated even - to call out this vile, hateful speech that only divides America.

Odd for the CEO of FDD, a think tank claiming to be committed to “strengthening U.S. national security” to advocate for US-Israel “intelligence & economic integration to such an extent that inflicting financial harm on Israel would also carry a significant cost for Washington.”🤨

This is straight up HR reading from a legally approved script before they lay you off energy. Having to read from a prompter about a moral position is CRAZY. Worst crisis PR I’ve seen in a long time.
