🗣️🇵🇹 João Cancelo pays a beautiful tribute to Diogo Jota and André Silva:
“Today, we didn’t just wake up without two football players.
Today, three children woke up without their father.
Today, a mother and a father woke up without their two sons.
Today, a wife (they were recently married) woke up without her husband by her side.
Today, we all woke up in shock.
Today, the world is mourning in one of those rare moments when we can pause, show genuine feelings, and put things into perspective to appreciate what we have, and what is not guaranteed: tomorrow.” ❤️🕊️

From the outside looking in… this game is easy. But in reality it’s the worst game of all. We are very fortunate to get what we do from this game but over the last 24 hours it’s hit me. We do it for not only ourselves but for our family, friends and fans. What Rory has gone through is as tough as it gets in our game but I would like to encourage people if anything please be kind ☘️

Very proud to be a club in the heart of our community and this was evident in our narrow loss in Cork yesterday against @highfieldrfc as we kickstarted our #energiaail campaign.
We had 3 sets of brothers on the pitch all playing key roles in the fixture.

Rugby has taken a beating lately.
I for one will be forever grateful for what the game gave me. It’s who I am. It defines me. It gave me a Life.
I know so many people at all levels have a similar feeling.
