How does #alexithymia impact #EmotionRegulation? In our new study, we find alexithymia is linked to an emotion regulation profile characterized by emotional avoidance across domains of emotional expression, social interaction, and problem-solving.

How should we define #alexithymia? In this paper, we study the structure of alexithymia using factor analysis. We find that difficulty daydreaming is not part of alexithymia. Statistically, alexithymia is about difficulties in #emotion processing only.
