January has had more tech layoffs than the entire first half of 2022. 55k employees from 154 companies. If that's not a bellwether of things to come in the broader economy, I don't know what is.

Mass layoffs = recession. Recession = inflation goes down. Inflation goes down + recession = fed turns the money printer on. Money printer turned on = magic internet coins and jpegs go up. The markets are maybe a bit too forward thinking here though.
