$DUEL - PromptDuel
I’ve checked this project pretty carefully, especially the dev, because that’s the part that caught my attention.
PromptDuel is building a permissionless AI evaluation market on Robinhood Chain. Simple idea: two AI models answer the same prompt, and users put money behind the response they believe is better. Those decisions generate preference data that can be used for AI evaluation and post-training. The bigger vision is a dataset marketplace where this data can actually become a product.
What I like most is the founder, Aric Eggers. He isn’t some anon dev who appeared yesterday just to launch a coin.
I dug pretty deep into his history. His LinkedIn lists SpaceXAI — Audio, Full-time, Aug 2024–Aug 2026. Before that, he worked in Product Development & Research at Planmeca and studied Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. His personal site goes further, stating that his work at xAI/SpaceXAI involved Grok Voice post-training and evaluation design.
Even before $DUEL, Aric appeared on the AI Rebels Podcast in March 2025, where he was introduced as:
“AI agent designer and developer Aric Eggers…”

So his AI footprint existed long before PromptDuel.
And the interesting part is that his background lines up almost perfectly with what he’s building now:
AI post-training/evaluation → PromptDuel → human preference + economic confidence → AI evaluation data.
One thing I want to make clear: his xAI/SpaceXAI employment is listed on his LinkedIn and public CV, but I still haven’t found an official xAI source independently confirming it. I’m not going to turn something that isn’t 100% verified into a fact.
The project is also still on testnet, the dataset marketplace isn’t fully live yet, and $DUEL value capture still needs to be proven.
But at least here we have a real product + a founder with a long technical/AI footprint + a product that actually matches the dev’s background, not another AI landing page with a token slapped on it.
