It’s official: Ginkgo Biosecurity is launching as Perimeter Systems, Inc. — a fully independent biosecurity infrastructure company, backed by $60M in growth capital.
We started this work during COVID, providing test kits to schools and helping scale the manufacturing capacity for vaccines. Since 2020, the team built a scaled, global infrastructure that was deployed at airports, transit hubs, and wastewater systems across the U.S. and 10+ countries. We expect to see Perimeter continue to grow to meet humanity’s need to stay safe from biological threats.
We could not be more proud of what that team has accomplished and could not be more excited about what they will do next.
