In January 2023, California PE teacher Jessica Tapia was fired from Jurupa Valley High School after she refused to follow the district’s transgender policies. Those rules required her to use preferred pronouns, allow students into opposite-sex locker rooms and bathrooms, and withhold information about a child’s gender identity from parents. She said the directives conflicted with her religious beliefs and that no student had ever actually asked her to change a pronoun.
She filed a wrongful termination lawsuit in May 2023 with help from Advocates for Faith and Freedom. In May 2024 the Jurupa Unified School District settled, paying her $285,000 plus $75,000 in attorney fees for a total of $360,000. The district denied wrongdoing and said it settled to focus on students. Tapia agreed not to seek re-employment with the district.
Her case is one of several recent examples of school districts facing costly settlements after requiring teachers to hide information from parents or affirm gender identity claims against their beliefs.
Schools have no right to request that teachers hide anything that has to do with students and their well being from their parents!!!!!

Sen. Elissa Slotkin says she wants the threat of prosecution to serve as a "deterrence message" that scares young people away from taking jobs in the Trump administration.
The Michigan Democrat made the remarks at a University of Chicago event, saying she wants prospective hires to think, "Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don't want, and so let me avoid participating in that."

Florida Amendment 3 (November 2026) increases the homestead exemption on non-school property taxes from the current roughly $50,000–$51,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 (then adjusted for inflation). It also lowers the annual assessment increase cap on non-homestead properties (second homes, rentals, commercial, etc.) from 10% to 5%, and limits how local governments can spend property tax revenue (primarily to public safety, schools, infrastructure, and similar core needs). School taxes are unaffected. The measure needs 60% approval to pass and is projected to significantly cut local government revenue.

The 1-year age change is the difference between her being a LEGAL CITIZEN or not.
Omar's ORIGINAL birthdate and place was listed in the official Minnesota record as Oct. 4, 1981 in Somalia for ALL the years she was in the Minnesota House. She never challenged it.
She was publicly CLAIMING a birthdate of 1982, so a political opponent accused her of LYING about her age--as her birth year was listed as 1981--so staffers then CHANGED it to Oct. 4, 1982
The reason this is important is because if her ACTUAL birthdate is Oct. 4, 1981, that'd mean she would've been INELIGIBLE to legally become a US citizen in 2000.
An easy case for de-naturalization, as under the immigration rules applicable in 2000, a child generally needed to be under 18 at the time a parent naturalized (and meet other conditions such as lawful permanent residence and residing with the parent) to automatically derive citizenship.
An 18- or 19-year-old would NOT qualify under that minor-child pathway and would instead need to naturalize INDEPENDENTLY as an adult.
So if the feds can prove she LIED about her age on her naturalization documents, and she was actually an adult, it's likely OVER for her. She'll be going back to Somalia 🔥

I join all New Yorkers in being thankful that Detective Jose Mercedes is on the mend and thank him for his service.
Two violent criminals — previously arrested and released back onto the street — tried to rob Detective Mercedes and stabbed him seven times. He thought he was going to die.
That attack should never have happened. When I was a federal prosecutor under President Obama, these criminals would not have been released after arrest — they would have been handed over to federal officials at the jailhouse door. AG Letitia James put a stop to that. And this Detective almost died as a result.
Let’s bring common sense back to law enforcement. Let’s hand criminals over at the jailhouse door, so that neither the criminals nor the feds go into our neighborhoods. Let’s stop innocent people from getting hurt.

Nicki Minaj says Democrats love Black voters right up until one of them has an opinion they didn’t approve.

Black voters have learned the hard way what happens the moment they step out of line.

• In 2022, Sunny Hostin said being a Black Republican is “an oxymoron.”
