Noticed a wave of brand new hockey models popping up today, and this is only going to accelerate across every league as AI makes them easier to build. Reminder: most of these are trash. Some of the outputs I saw today I would be embarrassed to publish. Anyone can make a model. A model that actually beats these markets is a completely different thing, and if someone had one, posting it publicly would be a massive mistake.

With this rule, any foul that would typically result in one, two or three free throws under standard NBA rules will instead result in a single free throw attempt. That attempt will be worth the same total number of points as the free throws it replaces.
Standard NBA free throw rules will apply during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter and throughout overtime.
