Doubled poisons. If you rolled beta rogue, delete your mental build. It no longer exists. AND THE HEADLINE FIRST: remember the "mystery passive" from yesterday — the one that made my rogue-change bet cash? IT HAS A NAME NOW. 👇 ⚡ POISED (new passive, level 18) Sit at full Energy out of combat and you gain Poised: your next Energy ability costs 10 LESS. Combat's new Composure talent pushes that to -20. Every opener, every pull, starts cheaper. The energy game I begged for in October? They built it. 🗡️ SHANK (NEW SPELL, level 24) 5 Energy. 10-second cooldown. CANNOT MISS. An off-hand strike for 50% weapon damage that GENERATES 15 Energy — 25 at rank 2. A builder that pays YOU. And all three trees build around it: • Assassination — Venom: Shank boosts your poison damage 30% and application 20% for 6s • Combat — Flash of Steel: Shank refunds up to 40 Energy, cooldown down to 8s • Subtlety — Boot Knife: Shank up to 100% chance to add 2 COMBO POINTS ☠️ POISONS DOUBLED Deadly Poison Attack Power scaling: 0.0045 → 0.009. Instant Poison: 0.005 → 0.01. TWICE the scaling. Poison builds just ate. 🗡️ ASSASSINATION Mutilate: 75% → 90% weapon damage, moved up the tree. Blood Splatter (new): Rupture +6s, Garrote +9s — bleeds tick longer. Lethality: same 20% top end, now costs 2 points instead of 5. Relentless Strikes: careful — same 20%/combo point ceiling now costs 5 points. That's a tax wearing a trench coat. ⚔️ COMBAT Dual Wield Specialization: 25/50% off-hand damage for TWO points. It used to cost 5 points for 25% max. They doubled it AND cut the cost. Aggression tripled: 5/10/15% Sinister Strike + Eviscerate. Improved Sinister Strike is now Efficient Strikes and discounts Hemorrhage too. 👤 SUBTLETY — DEATH MARK IS REAL Thousand Cuts is GONE. The capstone is DEATH MARK: a finisher that marks the target and STORES a portion of all your damage — Garrote and Rupture store at DOUBLE rate — then detonates it after 6 seconds, scaled by Attack Power and Crit. Land it right and your bleeds hit twice. Plus: Ghostly Strike now lets your next Ambush or Garrote SKIP STEALTH entirely. Quick Getaway lets you Sap MULTIPLE targets and sprint away. Hemorrhage now buffs Garrote too. (Setup got nerfed, 100% → 45% — one bruise in a pile of gifts.) 🎯 MY READ All beta, rogues got 9 change lines while other classes got 50+. I said wait — something's coming. Something was coming. Blizzard scrapped the Classic power budget for EVERYONE last night (damage up across the game, mob HP up to match, no more big tuning until after raids), and for rogues they didn't tune the old class — they built a new one around ENERGY: discounted openers, a refunding builder, poisons that scale.
