Redbelly Network redbelly-network-token:native is one of the more interesting RWA-focused Layer 1s because it is not trying to be a general-purpose chain that later bolted on compliance. It was designed from the start, with University of Sydney and CSIRO research, as a public but accountable network for regulated asset tokenisation. That combination of public infrastructure and protocol-level identity and deterministic settlement is rare out there. The patented DBFT consensus is leaderless, formally verified, and cannot fork. Transactions reach deterministic finality instantly and production tests have reached 97k TPS with zero transaction loss. Lab figures go much higher than that. Redbelly also ensures verifiable credentials, zero-knowledge proofs, and enforced eligibility, jurisdiction, and licensing rules at the protocol layer. For structured products (ABS waterfalls, private credit, funds, bonds) this is closer to what institutions actually need than wrapping assets on Ethereum and hoping the extra compliance layers hold. The fact that some of the biggest Australian institutions have been supporting and testing Redbelly makes it even more interesting. Redbelly is the only public blockchain selected to host a wholesale CBDC in Project Acacia. They have already settled Australia’s first tokenised corporate bond, run a live Smart ABS pilot with trustees and originators, and they support several strategic stablecoins like AUDM. Redbelly also acquired the Liquidise registry platform, which already handles over $1B in assets. If even a fraction of Australia’s private credit, real estate, and funds markets moves on-chain, Redbelly is sitting in the middle of the rails. Infrastructure stories of this amplitude take years to convert into real volume. Redbelly is one of my longer term conviction plays in a well-balanced and diversified portfolio.
