In case you haven’t seen our other posts on the subject, today is Penguin Awareness Day! This day is all about our favorite flightless seabirds. For today’s Penguins on Canvas prompt, we want you, penguin artists, to create a piece inspired by YOUR favorite penguin or penguins!
ALT On a gradient background, three silhouettes are centered. On the left, one has a King Penguin above their head in a heart speech bubble. On the right, one has a Little Penguin in a similar bubble. In the middle is a thought bubble over the middle silhouette’s head, with a question mark inside. The Penguins International logo is in the bottom right corner, and the Penguins on Canvas logo is in the bottom left. The text reads “Penguins on Canvas: Prompt Ten. Your Favorite Penguin”
To see the current list of available prompts, check out the Penguins on Canvas website! You can find it on the Linktree in our bio.

Fun fact: Not all penguins are limited to the colder climates of Antarctica and sub-Antarctic regions. A few of these warm climate penguins include the African Penguins and the Little Penguins, the Fiordland Penguins and the Galapagos Penguins, though there are others.

Many people are familiar with how Emperor Penguin chicks differ from their parents due to media popularity in movies like Happy Feat, and those following SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium in 2024 will remember Pesto, the once-downy King Penguin.
