I have quite a few Philip edits I want to make for Shirou day but I have to exercise restraint and hold it in for the big day
I think its arguably scarier when demons want to understand humans bc it leads to more than a predation and into an obsession into understanding what they fundamentally cannot. Demon lord killed off 2/3rds in the pursuit of true coexistence and understanding
Death to demons is more a natural process be it by age or by their hands so they do not treat it as something to mourn over unlike humanity and that creates a friction between understanding. A gap that is close is humans sacrificing themselves for a good that outlives themsleves
They definitely are an intelligent race and have feelings supported by some feelings of camaraderie and loyalty they can have between themselves but have different values for them. Its just sad the gap in our understandings that it ends with just death
