An inherited genetic mutation may increase lung cancer risk among people who have never smoked, according to a new Science study.
By tracing the ancestry of people carrying the rare EGFR T790M variant, researchers uncovered a shared genetic legacy extending back hundreds of years and concentrated in the southeastern United States.

It's actually worse than I thought -- this account *looks* like a real @business reporter, with a blue-check, shared Bloomberg articles and comments in their feed, and legit tech CEOs following them like @BrendanFoody.
But they don't have a LinkedIn, and Google search results return their own phishing tweets pretending to be reporter inquiries.

71% of the cancer centers still report a shortage of carboplatin—1 of the key chemotherapies that constitute what the @NCCN called a “backbone of regimens” to treat numerous different cancers. Shortages of carboplatin & cisplatin emerged when one of the primary manufacturers ran into serious quality control issues in 2023.
