In Colorado, a coalition of 47 national, state, and local organizations, led by the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) Action Colorado chapter, @MPower_Change and @PeaceAction and allied groups, condemned votes by Senator Bennet and Senator Hickenlooper to approve weapons transfers to the Israeli military during its ongoing assault on Gaza. This Colorado letter is part of a national wave of organizing across the country in New York, New Jersey, California, Washington, and elsewhere, to hold Senators accountable who have voted to give Israel more offensive weaponry amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The organizations delivered their letter to both Senate offices and are requesting an urgent meeting to demand that the Senators oppose future arms sales, support legislation conditioning U.S. aid, and call for an immediate ceasefire and restoration of UN-led humanitarian aid.
