Gonna need a ruling @jaynordlinger @EsotericCD
You call yourself an AC/DC fan and you didn't even know Thunderstruck was a Mozart cover?

Who could turn down a deal like this?

When these little booksellers and publishers have their posters celebrating "Banned Books Day," maybe they could add some with the caption "And I helped ban books this year."

Megan McArdle @asymmetricinfo may have written the best paragraph I'll read this week. Great comment about internet rage.

As the first overtime period comes to a close, it's clear this headline didn't age well... Marner's achievement was exciting to watch, but I'm still waiting for the rout.

Any chance @DavidAFrench will publish "More Profiles in Courage" any time soon? I'd eagerly buy that book. (Posting this here since the comments section on the NYT site is closed.) A Republican You’ve Never Heard of Points the Way nytimes.com/2026/05/17/opini…

The history of the SBC in the 70s & 80s is looking like the history of the Borgia Papacy. But just as Roman Catholicism is more than the Borgias, the SPC is more than the Presslers and Pattersons. There was/is authentic faith there despite bad leaders. open.substack.com/pub/karens…

We seem to be spending more time talking about officials' calls than about the play of the contestants in the NHL Playoffs this year. Things are best when the officials are invisible; let the players decide the game. @nhlplayoff

Somehow, it feels like Opening Day and the rest of the MLB season are going to feel kind of anticlimactic after this powerful World Baseball Classic. @WBCBaseball

While many anti-Trump conservatives have had difficulty maintaining principles they'd defended their whole careers, I think @georgewill has held on to his. His WashingtonPost column on Iran reminds me why I've followed and respected him since the early 70s. (edited screencap)

I wonder what those church leaders who argued Christians needed to support Trump because he was the "moral" candidate make of this comment from the memorial service for Charlie Kirk. (screencap from the Washington Post's morning email newsletter.)

This is a great plea by Yuval Levin, from an article posted this week at National Review.

This is a great comment from @ezraklein on the New York Times page today. It shows a gracious spirit I can respect.

Yes, indeed: more of this. And thanks for sharing; it made my afternoon.

I'm used to @BizNasty2point0 having unique perspectives on hockey, but this was a surprise... Could he be on to something?
This series makes me want to rerun the core 4 one more time. Who’s with me? #LeafsForever

Kerry Fraser used to say a good game was one where they didn't talk about the officials afterwards. Tonight's Jets at Stars game was not a good game. The "win" will be forever tainted by the bad call on Scheifele with 0:15 left. Worst call in a playoff since B Hull in '99.

It was great to see @ErickAvari back as Nicodemus in @thechosentv movie 3. His talk with Mary brought a tear to my eye. Looking forward to season 6.

As usual, @JonahDispatch has a clear vision, crisply written, of what's going on. Thanks for another insightful column:
