Some weeks, you can feel things shifting under your feet.
Our 2nd BBN members event this week, nearly double the attendance of our first, which was already 40 people.
The companies in the room, the conversations happening between them, the calibre of people. I sat there and genuinely couldn't believe we'd pulled it together.
Friday, I spoke at a SSAS pension conference. Outside audience, totally different room, and the response since has been something else.
Two announcements are landing in the next few days at @bitcoincoll.
Business will drive change in the UK, but only if we pull together, and this week made it very clear that's exactly what's happening🚀🇬🇧

Short story about Willy Woo…
Remember 2021? Willy Woo's 'Bitcoin Forecast' Substack was the hottest paid crypto newsletter, with thousands of subscribers paying for his on-chain 'magic.'
He hyped BTC to $200k–$300k (even $400k vibes) by EOY 2021 like it was guaranteed:
- 'My top model: $200k conservative, $300k not out of the question'
- Interviews: $250k–$400k range with institutional flows
Result: BTC peaked at ~$69k. Then the 2022 bear market destroyed everything. His models missed badly.
After dragging subscribers off the cliff with epic misses, he CLOSED the newsletter over three years ago and went mostly silent on forecasts for ages.
He disappeared during the winter… now back strong in 2025–2026 with 'Bitcoin Vector Lite', preaching quantum risk/doom like 4M BTC could hit the market any time (it won’t, quantum is nowhere close, and many contingency solutions already exist).
Thousands paid for the hype, got burned, he faded… now a new narrative and new subscribers?

1,000 oz of silver = $100K
You can sell $100K of BTC instantaneously 24/7 no matter where you are on planet earth.
Not so apparently with silver.

At $90k today, the Mayer Multiple has historically been higher than today’s value 78% of the time.
Takeaway: BTC is very cheap relative to its 200-day moving average.

“Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments worth £7.2million from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £500million this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”

Quantum computing breakthroughs (with Shor’s algorithm) using large numbers of logical qubits would accelerate the shift of capital from the legacy fiat banking system toward Bitcoin.
Much easier to deal with digital signatures in the Bitcoin ecosystem than across the legacy fiat banking system.
Grover’s algorithm for hashing is effectively irrelevant for decades and at worst would be just another way to mine and secure transactions (an ASIC alternative in the far future).
Fade quantum FUD.
Replying to @NEEDcreations
no. consider if public key encryption or symmetric key encryption were broken by quantum, but digital signatures not. no bitcoin transactions will suffer from quantum forged signatures. QED. (bitcoin uses password based encryption on disk, but that encrypted data is not public).

The year is 2025 and Mohamed El-Erian is doing live coverage on Bitcoin, while Vanguard finally allows its clients to buy Bitcoin ETFs, Bank of America Private Wealth is recommending up to 4% bitcoin in the portfolio, Trump is announcing a new Fed Chair, and the Yen carry trade is finally showing the world that you cant run debt forever.
2026 is going to be wild.
Short-term market technicals have shifted from negative to neutral, with the combination of Bitcoins bouncing and stabilizing Japanese yields providing a sounder footing for risk assets.
Longer-term...
Bitcoins need to continue to cultivate a deeper base of stable institutional investors,
and
Japan needs to reconcile inflation control, currency stability, and political pressure for lower rates.

Everyone gets the Bitcoin timeline wrong.
And I mean everyone.
You think it's a 6-month thing. Maybe a year if you're being patient.
But that's not how this works.
Bitcoin takes 4-10 years minimum. Probably longer.
I've watched this pattern play out dozens of times now.
Someone discovers Bitcoin. Gets excited. Starts consuming everything. Joins X. Follows the right people. Checks prices every hour.
Month 3 hits and nothing's happening. Month 6 comes and the charts look the same. By month 12 they're gone.
They quit right before the breakthrough.
Because the timeline is the test. And most people fail it.
Here's what kills me about this: the same people who quit Bitcoin after 6 months will spend 4 years getting a degree.
They'll work a job for 10 years waiting for a promotion. They'll save for 20 years for retirement.
But 18 months waiting for Bitcoin? Too long.
The inconsistency is insane.
Bitcoin is a tool. Not your lifejacket.
You're not supposed to stare at charts all day.
You're supposed to live your life and let Bitcoin do its thing in the background.
Find a project and build it. Focus on your family. Get healthy. Read. Create.
Do the work that matters.
Because the people who win aren't the ones who watched the hardest.
They're the ones who understood the timeline and used those years productively.
They didn't mistake patience for passivity.
Your breakthrough isn't coming in 6 months. It's probably not coming in 2 years either.
But it is coming if you can outlast everyone else's impatience.
The question isn't whether Bitcoin will work.
The question is whether you can handle the wait.
Most people can't. That's why most people lose.
Don't be most people.

Good morning.
Seeing many bad takes on Bitcoin this morning, so perhaps we should return to first principles: Governments will keep overspending, global liquidity will keep expanding, and long-term, Bitcoin will reflect inflation that continues ad infinitum.
Have a great weekend.

I respect Stack’s story.
He’s built something, he’s earned his freedom, and he’s using Bitcoin the way it was meant to be used: to buy back his time.
That’s what every Bitcoiner should aspire to.
But with that freedom comes a responsibility, especially when you’ve got a large audience of people who are still trying to find their footing.
They’re not sitting on 7-figure capital reserves.
They’re scraping together what they can.
They’re at the stage where one wrong move, one “opportunity” that turns out to be vapour, could wreck their entire future.
And that’s where I think the line has to be drawn.
Because Bitcoin isn’t an investment.
It’s a savings technology.
It’s the foundation, the base layer that protects you from the failure of everything else.
You don’t “diversify” into Bitcoin; you build on top of it once you understand it.
The rest, including AI, robotics, equities, and venture bets, are all investing.
Investing is a form of risk-taking, and it has its place, but not before someone has established sovereignty first.
You don’t experiment with the roof when the foundation’s still wet.
What worries me isn’t that Stack’s branching out, that’s his right.
What worries me is that newcomers will read his posts and think, “Maybe Bitcoin’s already too late. Maybe I should chase the next asymmetric play.”
That’s how people end up broke, bitter, and out of the game entirely.
They’ll forget that what separates Bitcoin from everything else isn’t its upside, it’s its truth and integrity.
Every other asset can be gamed, manipulated, or inflated.
Bitcoin alone sits outside that system.
It’s the savings account for the age of collapse.
You start there.
You build your defences there.
You stack until you’ve got real exposure, not a fraction of a fraction.
Then, once you’re secure, go build, take risks, and explore.
But not before.
If Bitcoin is the signal, everything else is noise until you’re tuned in.
Save first, speculate later.
If Stack’s message is about freedom, then mine is about order.
Because without order, freedom eats itself.
And Bitcoin is order. It’s honest, mathematical, incorruptible order.
You don’t move on from that.
You build from it.
I understand that many of you only followed me for my Bitcoin posts.
And I've been bullish about Bitcoin on X and in real life since about $3K per coin.
But my primary mission is to provide my family with a high quality of life.
If that's your goal too, then stick around.
Since I was 15, the majority of my mental energy has gone into figuring out how I could avoid the rat race and live an uncommonly good life.
I knew I wanted to provide a top class life for my family one day.
- A quality home in a safe and beautiful environment
- Freedom to work on stuff that interests me
- Ability to prioritize health
- No financial stress
I just didn't know how I'd get there from zero.
I knew I needed capital to invest.
So I focused my attention on how to get some.
I put all of my energy and focus into building businesses.
I learned to code, sell, and market.
When I finally I turned sweat equity into 7 figures of capital, I moved my attention towards where to allocate that capital.
I studied.
I learned how money worked, I learned about debt cycles, I studied all the different asset classes.
And concluded that Bitcoin was the biggest opportunity.
When March 2020 came, I went all in.
I knew that it was a ridiculous opportunity.
And I've been spelling it out on X since sub $10K.
Before Michael Saylor started evangelizing.
Now everyone knows Bitcoin is going to $1 million and beyond... But it's not the same kind of non-consensus investment as it was at $5K.
You had to have brass balls (or ovaries) to be backing up the truck in March 2020 when people thought the world was ending.
Today you're following Larry Fink's guidance.
Don't get me wrong, Bitcoin is still a great investment.
It's hugely de-risked and it's still my largest holding by far.
But I believe there are more asymmetric opportunities out there now.
If Bitcoin is your guiding light. Your religion. Your purpose.
You will overlook these opportunities.
You will unfollow me if I talk about them.
And that's totally fine. I understand.
Bitcoin is safe and easy to hold. And you'll do well.
But if you want a return profile similar to $3K Bitcoin on a similar timeline... You need to look elsewhere.
This is where many go astray.
They buy shitcoins.
Or they silo themselves into exclusively Bitcoin-related investments.
But that limited thinking has lead many Bitcoiners to slaughter via BTC treasury companies.
Many of which are down 90% from their peak.
I will never recommend a vaporware shit coin or "the next Bitcoin."
Nor will I highlight something I don't believe in.
I will always share my own genuine thoughts.
That doesn't mean they'll be right.
But they will be honest.
I've gotten a lot of sh*t for sharing a bullish thesis on Bakkt.
Let's check back on that in two years.
But in the meantime, check out what I wrote in May 2024 about Bitcoin miners converting to AI compute (see screenshot).
Iren has outperformed Bitcoin by about 800% since then.
Bitfarms is up 100% since I mentioned it 8 days ago.
I don't share this with you to give you FOMO.
I share because if your guiding light is providing a high quality life for your family... If you're open to genuine opportunity...
Then you will realize that the AI and robotics revolution will create more opportunities like this.
And a smart, tactical exposure to this once in a lifetime economic transition could make sense for you.
Some other Bitcoiners wouldn't write this out of fear of the maxi backlash.
But I've never cared about how many followers I have.
So I'm free to say:
Make your family (and God if that's your thing) your guiding light and watch what opportunities appear in front of you.
