I always love showing a face to the anonymous account. This endearing gentleman is Brian Martin in Dublin. I am sure someone out there knows this man, whether it's social or professional. This is how he gets his kicks online. Lovely fella is Brian.

1,000 of the 2,977 victims of 9/11 were Irish American. Of the 343 FDNY firefighters killed, about 187 had Irish roots.
🥹 Poignant to hear a piper play the traditional Irish air ‘Fáinne Gael an Lae/The Dawning of the Day’ in New York, a tribute coinciding also with the U.S. President’s visit to the Emerald Isle.

THIS IS THE ONE — A CITY IN FULL BLOOM A whole era captured in snapshots — bucket hats, baggy jeans, sweat‑soaked clubs, terrace swagger, and that unmistakable Manchester glow back to the heartbeat of the Madchester era.

Eric Weinstein drops a truth bomb that shakes the very foundations of modern science.
In 1973, physics froze. While Crocodile Rock topped the charts, humanity’s understanding of base reality came to a grinding halt. The deepest theories of our universe? They’re all on one slide—unchanged for over 50 years.
The Disturbing Revelation:
Mark Andreessen’s White House meeting unveiled a chilling reality—the deliberate stagnation of theoretical physics. String theory was crowned the "only game in town," while rival ideas were suffocated. Careers were quietly sunset. The youngest living Nobel laureate in theoretical physics? Now over 70. The field isn’t advancing—it’s repeating.
The Quantum Gravity Mirage:
"Quantum gravity is the holy grail!"—a mantra drilled into generations of physicists. But if it’s so fundamental, why did no books mention it before 1972? Because the real breakthrough lies beyond Einstein, beyond the speed of light. Yet researchers are trapped in a safe, sterile loop—studying theories that hurt no one, change nothing.
The Escape Plan:
Earth is a womb, not a home. To survive, we must reach the stars. But with physics shackled, how? The Perimeter Institute was meant to break barriers—yet even it fell to the quantum gravity dogma. The West must lead again, but the true rival isn’t China or India—it’s France, home of the world’s greatest mathematicians.
The Choice:
We stand at a crossroads. Wars loom, time dwindles—but if we revitalize physics, if we dare to go beyond C, the cosmos awaits. The end of physics? No—the beginning. The stars are calling. Will we answer?
The future is glorious. But only if we fight for it.

This is such good news this morning. Ryan Casey has settled his defamation case with the BBC over disgraceful comments made by Kitty Holland about his victim impact statement during his partner's (Ashling Murphy's) murder case.
He has received a sizeable sum in compensation and said, "I hope this serves as a reminder to all media organisations of the high level of responsibility that comes with running such public platforms...This was never just about me, it was about truth, fairness, and decency."

This day last year, 3,000 enraged citizens of Ireland descended upon Newtownmountkennedy to protest police brutality.
"They beat us with batons, but you will not break us."
Tomorrow, four of the residents are up in court yet again tomorrow.
Political prosecution for daring to oppose criminals be forced upon them in their community.
What a disgrace.

Dublin, 1989. I still think today is the best time in fashion but I miss how subcultural groups used to have much more distinct modes of dress and you could tell someone's interests, hobbies, and music taste from their clothes.

Local #Newtownmountkennedy woman Catherine Eager shares some thoughts about the proposed site of Trudder House being used to plant 160 unvetted male migrants in tents.
Catherine briefly touches on the buildings disturbing past also and how it is insulting to the community to be forced to stand outside and view it daily and recall past horrors.
She mentions the lack of facilities (1 GP, No dentist) and how unsuitable it is to these men also that our government seem to think its OK to dump 160 men into a field with only a tent on a rural road without lighting, out of sight and out of mind is the their plan!
Spread the word, #NewtownSaysNo
