I live next to a construction site for the new Ontario Line and for weeks they have been starting work at 5:30am and itās the most insane noise. Iāve heard from people living near other sites that the work is also starting that early. RIP sleep, I guess.

Almost 2,000 years ago, a Roman slave woke up and left their bed unmade, and then an apocalypse came. The blanket is long gone, but the space it occupied in the ash remained; filled with plaster, an imprint of normal life still familiar to us today. Take from it what you will.
I had the huge privilege of visiting the newly discovered room at villa Civita Giuliana and just the detail of the blanket left untidily on the bed was incredibly touching and elicited such a strong human connection to whoever it was who once occupied this room.
