Yesterday in the Red River Gorge of KY I saw one of my nemesis birds, this lovely Swainson's warbler who posed, sang, and was eventually photobombed by a rather dashing hooded warbler! I didn't realize how similar these two songs were as Swainson's are very rare where I live.

Summer is in full swing, which means firefly season is here! #DYK that there are 2,000+ species of fireflies worldwide? Most communicate with patterns of flashing light: These signals are used to find mates, deceive other firefly species, and avoid predators.

The vulnerable shouldn’t be in this alone. We should care about each other’s safety. And I truly believe most people do care, but we need to make it easy to do the right thing. I think this simple slogan would be really effective at changing the social etiquette around masking.
