This is the same company turning to AI for development. No one can accuse them of having much sense.

Heavens forbid that people don't want to drag their ass into work the day something fun comes out they'd rather be doing.

Let me give you an example of what you're doing: That rollercoaster sucks. I've never ridden it. I've seen clips of it online. It's clearly no fun from what I can see from never experiencing it myself.

It's the same reason they usually do events with music artists. They don't have the same rules around vocal performance as SAG/AFTRA. Their licensing can be done entirely differently.

Licensing an actor's/actress's voice falls under different rules, where you need to pay residuals for their performance. So if they had her do the lines, they'd need to pay her in perpetuity for the rights to use it.

Go, and experience the movie. Clips out of context don't do her performance justice, nor do they lend themselves to how scary her performance is. To shift from normal to a twisted version of reality on a dime is a talent. And it makes her 10x more frightening than most villains.

See that's called "not wanting to pay residuals".

Tell me you've never seen the movie without telling me you've never seen the movie.
What I don’t understand abt this movie and its cult following atp, is that it’s literally just a woman. Her frowny face isn’t scary. Why is she a roaming character at HHN and now in Fortnite? On any other day that’s literally just Olivia Rodrigo 😭

Have you watched the movie?

You're not too woke. You're just stupid.

Hell even in the launch trailer, it shows one of the light and shadow tricks they did in the movie to turn a normal person into something unworldly and terrifying.

So then you have no place to say shit. Go, watch the movie, then tell me that half the faces Nikki pulls won't keep you up at night. Inde's performance is fucking iconic.

Porque hay 4 personajes cuyo punto es ser niños pequeños que fueron asesinados y obligados a poseer cuerpos roboticos de animales? Se que el juego es popular pero es una inclusion rara verdad?
So…why is a character whose whole point is that she has her free will stripped away from her a Fortnite skin? Like yeah I know the movie is popular but like…this is a weird inclusion, right?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Fortnite has tons of character collabs from different media. These collab characters usually stay true to their backstories, including r*pe victims or genocidal beings. Keep in mind this are fictional characters and their backstories are never mentioned in Fortnite. reddit.com/r/FortniteBR/c…

So much this. Music piracy took a major hit when iTunes was created. Movie piracy did the same with Netflix. It's a lot of work to pirate something when you can just go someplace, pay a reasonable amount, and just have the thing.
