Hady Habib’s reaction after winning his 1st round at Australian Open
Imagine being the 1st from your country to qualify for a Slam

For Lebanon 🇱🇧❤️
Happy to share our latest #preprint showcasing the work done during my postdoc in the lab of @MPercharde at the @MRC_LMS. We used CRISPRa to disentangle the close relationship between Dux and MERVL elements in the induction of the 2-cell like state. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… (1/8)
Noxa KO in ESCs reduces Dux-dependent apoptosis and is even upregulated in the muscular dystrophy, FSHD, which is driven by DUX4 mis-expression. It’ll be interesting in future to look at therapeutic NOXA reduction in FSHD myoblasts. (7/8)
Tl;dr, MERVL is an integrator of multiple TFs to drive the 2C-like state, and drives some yet not all totipotency features. In contrast Dux-dependent toxicity is MERVL-independent and involves Noxa-induced apoptosis. Big thanks to all involved! @BryonyLeeke @Less_Sepulveda (8/8)

CNN report on Lebanon’s fantastic trip to the finals despite the country’s circumstances since 2019.
Very happy to have contributed to the first Percharde lab paper!! Massive effort by @XieSheila and all authors involved!!🥳🥳
🌟V.happy to update this thread and say our lab's 1st paper is now published. We describe unexpected roles for the nucleolus in gene and transposon regulation in early development.
Thanks to @GenesDev for a fast&fair process and to helpful reviewers 1/4

Who's got a chance to win anything in winter Olympics other than Northern countries? We need another type of Olympics that gives a natural advantage to the South. Like the ability to use spices correctly or require 14 stamps for a government application.

🚨NEW STORY 🚨Very excited to share the first preprint from our lab @MRC_LMS !! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… We reveal an intriguing requirement for nucleolar maturation for repression of Dux and the 2-cell (2C)-like state. (1/9) 🧵
Join our lab!! Fun science with fun people!
@FerranGLl @BryonyLeeke @MPercharde and other non-twitter folk 😄🧬🔬
Silly/hiring season is here! New postdoc position in our lab @MRC_LMS @imperialcollege in London. Come study chromatin and transposon regulation in development and disease. V.interested in people with experience with hESCs/iPSCs or bioinformatics. *Pls RT* tinyurl.com/urt46u43
