SOLD! ｜ $36,245 (13.3 ETH) The auction on @manifoldxyz for the first Majin NFT closed on September 18 with the final bid of $36,245 (13.3 ETH). Huge congratulations to the winner and new owner of our 1/1 Fallen Angel artwork! We're sure you will enjoy the matching grail in our PFP collection and the large physical edition which comes with this masterpiece. I also want to express a huge THANK YOU｜感謝 to all our supporters and bidders. It has been exciting to see the price increase beyond what I had expected. We will continue to build and work on delivering one of the most beautiful collections on-chain. It's the best motivation anyone could wish for to see such overwhelming demand and appreciation by serious collectors. It also makes me incredibly bullish on the choice of our mint price. As you might know, we're aiming to mint for around 0.15 ETH. Considering that even at this very early stage we already have an NFT selling for over 13 ETH is absolutely crazy. I think this tells us a lot about the opportunity which we have for creating value for holders. I'm very much looking forward to reveal new characters and artwork, and to continue creating an incredibly aesthetic and unique IP. — Sōtō｜ソウトウ

When you scroll through these images, you will see the different development stages of the Fallen Angel. The foundation remained the same since I came up with this concept, but the realization of the visuals was heavily influenced by our Japanese artist. Especially the Spine Katana owes its intricate placement within the spine to his incredible talent and creativity. Some of the things which changed from the initial stage are: • the color of the shirt (changed to Majin red) • the state of the wings (more powerful and legendary) • scar in the face was added for more personality • more defined jaw and contour to highlight the strength and will of the Fallen Angel A few minor aspects which we'll refine additionally: • removing the headphones (the character has already enough unique traits which make this added complexity unnecessary — but the headphones remain as a trait in the collection) • potentially replacing the cross pendant with an "M" accessory But generally speaking the Fallen Angel is close to finalized. It's going to be one of the rarest NFTs in our collection, and definitely one of the coolest PFPs with incredible aesthetics and status. When you zoom in you will notice that he has two different eyes. You might also see the necklace or the rings on the fingers. There's a lot of detail which is going to be added to the final version (which is lore relevant and related to his powers). I look forward to revealing the full character soon!

2 days left, but we already crossed $10,000 for our first NFT on @manifoldxyz You can follow the auction live here: manifold.xyz/@majinbysoto/id… Drop your price predictions in the comments 👇

We decided to put our 1/1 pieces on-chain via @manifoldxyz because it's one of the best platforms for artists. Their contracts have powered work by Beeple and Refik Anadol, and Manifold-minted art has sold at Christie’s and Sotheby’s. That's the credibility which got Majin on board. Another advantage they offer is that work minted through Manifold can also be sold on other marketplaces. So the contract is not tied to Manifold’s storefront. Which also means you will soon see the first Majin NFTs on OpenSea and other platforms. If you scroll through the attached images you will see the progress of our current auction on Manifold. The bids started at 0.15 ETH and now made their way up to 1.5 ETH. It's going to be very interesting to see what kind of price we can achieve for the first artwork that we release. Our OGs know of course that the utility of this masterpiece is very special too. The holder of this NFT receives the matching grail in our PFP collection as well as a physical edition of the artwork. It was important to us to not only promote our brand but to provide collectors a genuine part of our IP. I also have to credit the founders of Manifold @ediep @richerd for enabling artists to share their work with the world in a permissionless way while retaining ownership of the contracts and tokens. They play an important part in bringing collectors and digital art together. I feel that Manifold was meant for fine-art and I hope that by bringing our 1/1s on-chain we can contribute to the beauty of web3. If you're interested in our auction of THE FALL｜堕天 then I linked the listing below. You still have 4 days left. But even if the bids eventually go outside of your budget; remember that this is just the beginning. You're still early and there will be plenty of opportunities to get whitelisted and secure your spot.

I want to bring anime on-chain because it influenced me heavily throughout my childhood. But you can’t build a business on romanticizing reality. The numbers also have to make sense. And they do. In fact, they highlight even more strongly why anime and Japan in particular have such a creative influence on the rest of the world.

The early concepts of BAYC reveal an important secret: it's not only the traits which made them iconic, but the expressions which gave each character its own personality. It's very interesting to see how @allseeingseneca found the visual identity of the apes and created one of the most important contributions to digital collectibles with @BoredApeYC. Still to this day I have not seen any IP do it better when it comes to quality, variety and diversity, and to making each PFP feel alive.

This character is influenced by the style of Tekken and based on a concept which I created for an effortlessly cool antihero. I like to think that even without going into the lore, the laid-back attitude, physical strength and capability are immediately obvious. That's also important to separate him from other characters like the introverted Fallen Angel, and to ensure that the world of Majin offers something for everyone's taste and personality. It will be a big plus when the vibe of the collection isn't flat and when not every character carries the exact same attitude. So we pursue variety and contrast in our character, trait, and weapon designs. That in return allows you to more accurately choose your favorite combination of traits, and creates a stronger bond and sense of identity across the entire community.

This is Wolfy, one of the companions in our collection. But the real alpha is the rare weapon which you see on display: the shrimp gun 🦐
