Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test.
48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video.
It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard.

Favourite quote for the day (related to AI):
"Once a new technology rolls over you, if you're not part of the steamroller, you're part of the road." -- Stewart Brand
There is so much hype out there it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff!
The 2 things that are really "sparking joy" for me atm are:
1. @OmarchyLinux by @dhh (and many others)
2. skool.com/ai-agent-builders by @TechWithTimm and the builder community.
I've done a LOT of courses over the years and this free course on building a very useful 24/7 autonomous agent from @TechWithTimm is right up among the best!
It's a great supportive community also:

If we hit 100 likes, 100 comments, and 100 reposts within the next 12 hours, I'll give away 100 copies of my SQL book.
Just like this post, repost it, and tell me why you think this book would help you.
I'll pick 100 people from the replies and send them a free copy.
The book has been out for a while, but I'd love to get it into the hands of more people learning SQL.
Let's see if we can hit 100/100/100. 👇

I'm using @grok as the default AI for @OmarchyLinux
Installing Hermes Desktop and it hung 1/2 way through and I asked Grok to fix it.
It detected where it was hanging, fixed the problem and the install resumed.
Can only dream of AI integration likes this on @Windows
My goal on X is not to post or comment on the things that divide us, even though it's very hard not to sometimes 😼
I use Windows 11, Linux and Mac OS daily.
For personal (non server use) my preference is:
1. Windows 11
2. Linux Mint
3. Mac OS

I don't understand the hate for M365 Copilot. I use M365 Personal Premium and find it incredibly useful at a reasonable price.

Grok Build is now open source
We've open-sourced Grok Build and have reset usage limits for all users.
Open sourcing Grok Build allows anyone to support making a reliable and robust harness. Check out our code, including the Git repo for the Grok Build CLI.

Once we have completed our review for security vulnerabilities, we will make the entire codebase of 𝕏 open source, with no exceptions.
Moreover, we will invite third party reviewers to examine the system that is running to confirm that the open source code is what is running.
Trust through total transparency is the only thing that should be believed.

A great use for Microsoft Copilot is to have it quizz you on something you have just learned. You can have it give immediate feedback or feedback at the end of the quiz. It can also tailor the quiz to focus on the questions you are getting wrong until the knowledge is retained.
